the only thing that gets someone banned is mean words even if the only ones who would say the words spoken are mean is a 2 year old or the mental equivalent.
Usually people who troll or afk will NEVER see a punishment. Riot is just lazy. Catching trolls is hard and would require a resource commitment that they are just not willing to do. So instead they ban the people who get mad at trolls. Remove the chat function.

There was a Nunu that was all over the boards for about 6 months before he finally got banned. out of the 500 games he played, his best score was 3/12. his worst was 0/42. SIX MONTHS before he got banned... Hmm...

Imperial Pandaa1 votesWe have had cases, even posted, of people getting banned after a single game. They try to justify their inting/trolling. Without much issue I can point out the different between say the Nunu and one of these people, consistency.
The Nunu I imagine was consistently getting bad scores as Nunu. Much like the Yi/TK guy. Dude looked like he was a good Yi, but a horrible TK. Consistency is hard to judge clearly sometimes.

I do, but when you can get upset after that first game with an afk but was a remake, oh thats abit annoying but ok, then you have the person going ad on an ap champ and they feed the hyper carry, god dammit, but you keep your cool, then you get an afk a few games later and you still manage to keep your cool but you have had drama irl and your getting irked but you're already irked and cant tell, after all you have managed to keep your cool so far whats one more game? oh for fucks sake no tanks no cc and you couldn't fix it cause you where first pick and of course you got hard countered by someone who just happens to one trick your hard counter and your jungler proceeds to feed them so you cant even play safe now. If i have to be perfect then there is a problem with the rules and yes you do HAVE TO BE PERFECT. you have no choice but to never lose your temper ever which is impossible anyone who plays this game 10 times a day will get chat banned within a week if they play ranked unless they only play with friends or get insanely lucky and dont get reported which probably means they are above plat where you aren't matched with people who belong in iron 4 vs people who belong in silver 2 while you belong in silver 4 consistently adding to the insane frustration that is this games worthless shit matchmaking.

Well maybe in the next five years theyll get me. In the past 5 though, been using it with no issues. Maybe I know nothing after 5 years of experience, maybe you dont know anything either. Who knows! Not us, thats for sure! (Apparently)
The day I get a chat restrict for no reason, is the day I will consider removing it. Until then, Ill just keep using it like I always have without getting punished and Ill just keep cringing at the lies thrown about on the boards about how you can be banned without breaking any rules. Its pretty entertaining. Idk why people actually like to cringe but its kind of addicting, so keep it coming!
Oh and I do have a headset, I just use it when playing with friends. Dont really wanna actually talk to complete strangers, its bad enough playing with them without their voices.
Locking this thread as it's clear the OP isn't interested in having a civil discussion with people. Just for future reference you don't have to be perfect (everyone would be banned if that were the case), you just have to be mature and respectful to other people & use the tools available to help mitigate any issues you might have with them, such as disabling chat, the mute button and the report button. Just because you and some others aren't willing to use them responsibly or at all doesn't mean they should be removed.
