Harassed via chat message -> how to report?

Hi everyone!

I have been sexually harassed by another player via the game chat. He added me after one game and I accepted it (first we talked about the last game and so on - everything was fine). After some time he became really creepy and wanted me to do dirty things to him and he wanted me to give him my contact data. After this I was really scared and blocked him immediately. This was yesterday. Now I want to report him but i do not know how. Can someone help me?

Hi,

i have an update on this issue! The support was really helpful and reviewed the messages of this guy. The support can't tell me which actions they took, but the support can thankfully help in such situations.

Riot can probably see the chat history so you dont need a screenshot but riot really doesnt have time for these things so dont expect much... If they did we would be able to report people outside of games...

It's upsetting that just because you accept a friend request, to riot, its considered "consenting" to be harassed. We should be able to report people for any kind of harassment outside of our games. As a female player of this community I want friends to play league with so of course im going to accept friend requests from people that were kind in game, I however do NOT wish to be harassed by any means. Simply punishing players for being toxic in game isnt always going to work, I wish the report system was broader.

Hi, that's very rare you stumble upon someone with such intents.

I honestly half expected this thread to be in regard to player harassment with insults or death threats (which i've had and reported with some success).

Regardless, people of that sort shouldn't be tolerated and, as such, they have no way to access you outside of what you give or provide to them. This is also why people highly emphasize on keeping a low profile towards strangers or people over the internet - you never really know who you can run into.

The good thing is that you got rid of him. But for future regard, be careful on what you give to other people and especially avoid giving personal information.

I've never ran into such a situation myself with league and the subject of sexual harassment, but I know what it's like from experience in other platforms.

Go to riot support, take screenshots of the chat, then in support under the player behaviour or whatever, type in your issue and attach the screenshots, they won't take long to answer you!

if I were you, I would write a ticket and describe your situation maybe you aren't the only one who got in touch with this little creepo. Do you have the chat history to show them?

Sadly I have not made a screenshot. Because i blocked him i cannot see the chat with him anymore. As I was reading this yesterday I was really shoked and wanted him to stop texting me - this was the most important thing to me at this time.

I have never seen such an behaviour of a guy before and I hope this guy will not harass other people (like me). But lesson learned. I will never accept a friendrequest from a stranger in future.

you did the right thing blocking him. sadly since friend chats are opt in riot doesn't punish people for those things. i wouldn't say don't ever accept a friend request from a stranger because sometimes they can be pretty chill but the moment they start asking for things like phone number or fb i personally get rid of them
