Riot, Do ******* Something about AFK/Leavers

I just got out of a game where a player disconnected, then reconnected, and just AFKed the whole game till we ff. At the end when we were chastising him about it, he writes:

"ill jerk it to your saltiness :)"

Scumbags like this player are everywhere in league, and it's because Riot does absolutely nothing to punish players who leave games or ruin games by going AFK. These people think it's a joke because even though they ruin game after game, Riot does nothing to punish them. And even though there have been countless games where a player is reported, absolutely nothing happens to them.

I mean honestly, what does a player have to do to be banned? Throw their baby arm into jesus's face? I've seen people make racist, homophobic, and sociopathic comments in game WHILE SITTING IN FOUNTAIN, and they get away scot free even after 9 players report them.

EVERY TIME YOU LEAVE A GAME, you should be banned for a minimum of 2 hours ("Edit: 1 hour, after failing to reconnect within 5-10 minutes"). In my mind, this is exceedingly generous. We shouldn't need to "report" players in the after screen for disconnecting. Riot, you know when summoners purposefully AFK or disconnect. Punish them instead of making us waste our time reporting them only for NOTHING TO HAPPEN, LITERALLY EVER, TO ANYONE. It's so exceedingly frustrating for 1 in 3 games to end because of a disconnect or AFK. It ruins everyone's fun, and only further perpetuates the toxic culture all around this game.

DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE PROBLEMS IN THIS GAME, instead of sitting around "reworking" champions that work just fine (cough cough, ryze).

The problem with this is that there will be moments where these disconnections are not the players fault, sure there are people that do disconnected and I've done the same. At the same time my league has either given me a crash for no reason at all or my lag exceeds to a point where it says I've left game. If based on your words, this happened, there would be people waiting 2 hours for no reason other than league itself messing their exciting experience on league. This is probably one of the biggest problems rito is having. My suggestion would be to have a specific amount of time can leave a game, to a certain extent the time goes longer until you can't join a game and have to create a form of request to remove this form of "ban". Not only will this give the players the idea of leaving as bad, but would also help rito get into the forums more which they said they don't really take into mind as much as other things. Just my opinion though.

This is terrible misinformed. They actually do punish players. It's called leaverbusters.

Do you know that they get away scott free? They don't.

banned for a min of 2 hours. kinda like the 5 20minute queues you get now?

Different teams at RIOT do different things.
