I think the inability to just accept that your teammates are bad at the game is a huuuge issue in league.

Heres an example from a post game chat

starts out with

"silly player vel and jhin reported silly player say goodbye to your accounts silly player ggwp"

jhin went 3/8/5 vel went 2/11/1 he went 4/12/5 on shaco

jhin actually did better imo because he didnt die 12 times... worth more than that extra kill

I was playing against jhin and vel and i really didn't feel like they were inting, they were just playing bad, its bronze 5, so ofc.

I encountered this dude before on my team, he said he was going to report 3\5 of the team because of us playing badly... I'm betting he does this every game, i don't know how he isn't banned yet, maybe people forget to report him, but hes accusing his teammates of trolling every time he looses I guess? Do you think i should sent a support report ticket in??

anyway he goes on and says some other stuff, i tried to convince him that most of the time people are just bad... and he says hes going to report me too...

me: you could have had a lot fewer than 12 me: you are just toxic silly player on my perspective he was me: doesnt mean he was silly player cant you just respect my opinion? me: no silly player ok me: because your opinion wants to ban everyone who plays badly silly player so you get a report too

yikes right? hes just report trigger happy, he uses it as a weapon... I wish people would stop doin this kinda thing, what do you think motivates this kinda behavior? I cant imagine acting this way even though i have got chat restricted before from arguing with toxic people, i cant imagine just constantly going through your games threatening to report anyone who does badly...

Asking / threatening for reports in the form of harassment is a punishable offense.

In itself, the system considers it as mild toxicity, so It'll take a few dozen games to get him punished.

You just gotta ignore and report these people, they are brick walls who weren't taught to reason. Reminds me of how I'll go one match getting called a scripter/cheater smurf, while next I'm being flamed to hell for being a noob

When they call you an int feeder or bad, you could show them proof of 100 reasons they're flat out wrong, know what they'll say after that? INT FEEDER NUB REPORT

I swear I truly think I'm talking to Patrick Star with any of these people

Conversely, alot of people think that its only inting if you are running down mid with mobi boots.

Not everyone is bad.

Everyone can improve.

You shouldn't take what they said personally. They are just frustrated. I don't think you are going to fix depression by throwing more negativity at them.

I don't understand it either. I had Riot send me my account info recently. In my 6 years of playing I have sent 22 reports and only 3 of those were for inting.

After watching that, while I wouldn't have reported him, I could see an argument for reporting the Vel'koz. More than a few times there where he had me thinking "is this dude sandbagging?" because he repeatedly was in situations where he could have escaped and just chose not to. The Shaco would have had to be watching the Vel'koz closely enough that he wouldn't have been paying enough attention to himself, though. The far more likely explanation is that Shaco's just a dick and this is Bronze V.
