why does my thing still say honor level 0 dishonorable??...and honestly its been saying this for months even after i got the "honor unlocked" notification its still been saying dishonorable this whole time

Honor levels 0/1 did not reset. The only way out of honor level 0 and 1 is through consistent positive gameplay. Any in game toxicity will set you back if the system gets a report for it.

ok but the thing is that ive actually gotten the "honor unlocked" notification after being at honor lvl 0 MONTHS ago yet im still honor level 0 and i havent been issued any punishments since then so...im not sure how this honor system is supposed to work ive played well over 100 games hell maybe even 200 and my honor level havent increased at all.

Your Honor progress can be hamstrung by valid reports, even if they don't result in a punishment. You have to be sportsmanlike, or at the very least, not unsportsmanlike, to regain your Honor.

In other words, don't bicker with teammates, don't be pettily sarcastic, don't flame, and, overall, just follow the Golden Rule of League of Legends: Don't be a dick. If you haven't progressed for months, it's likely you were being a jerk in some of your matches, and that's held you back.

Umbral Regent said it pretty well. If you are still behaving poorly, even if you don't do it frequently enough to be punished again, you won't improve in honor.

Riot copped out of what they said on their honor explained video and wont reset honors 0 and 1.....to make matter worse, they won't give you 2018 rewards if you are stuck in level 0 or 1 =/

Oh, it tells you honor has been unlocked, but it doesn't actually work if you're 0/1.

Misleading. Complained about it even before the patch hit live, they really should've clarified that in the pop-up.

Do you mean "Unlocked" or "Reset"? Because, if you mean "Reset", they actually mention in the Patch 8.1 Notes that players Honor Level 1 and below aren't getting reset.

And, while it isn't directly mentioned on the Honor 2018 page, they only show Honor Levels 2+ being reset - Honor 5 to 2-3, Honor 4 to 2-2, Honor 3 to 2-1, and Honor 2 staying the same. While it isn't directly stated, it should easily be assumed that Honor 0/1 players will not get reset.

They maybe should have put it in the Honor reset pop-up, but I suppose they generally assume that people will be checking out recent posts (like Honor 2018) or reading the patch notes.

I'm assuming Big Brother, I mean, Riot have some kind of bot monitoring your chat. Try to game the system by spamming the chatbox with meaningless positive phrases like "glhf" and "gj" every few seconds. I bet that will get your honor leveled up in no time.
