Take a seat around the campfire

Trust me, this is a horror story if i ever heard one.

I think we can all agree that intentionally feeding/sabotaging games is wrong and that the people who do it suck all the fun out of the game for everyone.

I don't have a massive stat sheet in front of me, or know how the player demographics work. However i can say objectively, inting and sabotage has become significantly worse. I am seeing it more often than i ever have, and iv'e been playing this game for almost a decade.

It is clear to me that whatever punishment system riot currently has implemented does not do it's job correctly, and i know why.

An AI can scan through many KDAs and item builds and gain a lot of important information. But what an AI cannot do, is see the players behavior and how it changes throughout the course of the game. The AI the Riot uses cannot to my knowledge tell if someone is trying to throw a game because they think its a lost cause, and their surrender vote didn't pass unless they actually type their intentions like an idiot out to the team.

You can effectively throw a game with a positive KDA in many ways, and i need only point to how snowbally the game can get after the 20 minute mark for people to understand this. The problem is, if you can throw a game to end it quickly without getting punished, many selfish children are going to abuse this system. And so you have many winnable games that are tossed out the window, and no proper course for punishment for the would be offenders.

I'm not just here to complain about the current system and say "RIOT FIX IT!". I have an idea that may actually quell the issue, or at least tone it down substantially.

But for the sake of briefness, im going to keep this post relatively short, lest I get the TL:DR comments and no actual feedback.

I am just leaving this here out of curiosity, I wonder if many of you think along the same lines or not. Please do let me know.

There is a contradiction here. If you have no stats, no data, no reason or logic to back up your claim, it is by definition subjective - the opposite of objective.

I think you vastly underestimate the amount of data and computing power Riot has. Riot can detect if an Anivia starts using their walls to block teammates/help enemies partway through the game. Riot can detect if a Tahm Kench gets mad and spits players out poorly/eats them when they're close to a kill. BTW, both of those are relatively recent cases I've seen.

But that does not mean they are intentionally throwing the game.

And so you have many winnable games that are tossed out the window, and no proper course for punishment for the would be offenders.

The reason being that there is very few of these winnable games that are lost through malice. Most times, someone tilts, or just has a bad game, or falls off, or itemizes in a sub-optimal way. None of that is punishable behavior. You do not just punish someone because their team lost the game.
