Why is queue dodging penalized??????

I don't get it, Is waiting for a new lobby that big of a deal that I need to wait 5 or even 30 MINUTES because I dodged? I do it because people in chat pick troll picks and say they are going to troll. You think I'm going to waste 40 mins of my time playing with someone like that? Of course not so I leave for a new lobby then end up being punished for it and it makes absolutely no sense. There are plenty of habitual afkers that remain unbanned but dodge twice in a row because you're unlucky enough to get trolls arguing over champs or whatever and you are the one who suffers even if you are doing it for the benefit of the other players as well sparring them from playing with the troll. Can anyone explain the thought process behind this??

Cause you have 9 people that waste time. If it wasnt penalized what would stop people from doing it every game? Also people would abuse it not to play with comps/ champs/ players they dont like.

It's so that people don't just leave when they see something they don't like without consequence. You are supposed to work together as a team

Or how about lessening it a bit. maybe after three times? First time is a warning, second time 5 minute wait then third hit them with the 30 min wait. I mean I can dc from 2 games in a row without consequence so it seems out of balance to me.

because we dont want the "old aram" back where it was a custom game mode and you could leave without penalty. i never got into a game faster than 30min seriously.
