Why is 5m a swear word?

I don't think this has been addressed. I've brought it up before, to no avail.

Why, in the post-game lobby, is "5m" starred? You can't even type 5 m or any variation of 5m.

Like, seriously, what is wrong with FIVE M.

Probably because it looks like "SM", ie Sado-Masochism, which isn't too G rated I suppose.

But then again, Mundo's entire kit is based on SM too so idk what's going on there.

Well it's just being a bit universal with the language filter. Since if they want to block out "fuck" for whatever reason then it's only natural for them to try and hide other similar and relevant variants such as "fk" or whatever.

But then again, "SM" shouldn't be blocked in the first place, and even if it should be, going as far as to get onto "5m" is quite ridiculous tbh, considering that's just stretching too far from the relevancy and into something completely harmless and unrelated (yeah kinda your point).

However, do note it's all conjecture and speculation on my part in the first place, take it with a grain of salt, it could all just be a glitch in the language filter system who knows.

Spelled with a C it's quite rude. So with a K it's also blocked. In Dutch it just means "can". And as such is used in comversation quite a bit.

I'm Dutch but %%%% is English so not related to the Dutch language. But kunt is blocked? thats not that weird IMO it looks a lot like %%%% so...

Riot generally takes a hands off approach to swearing.

Hate speech, and directly being hateful to people, is where they draw the line.

So... cuss all you want. You'll even see Rioters cuss... Just don't direct it at anyone in anger.
