I get it, riot has a list of things that are kind of a nono, but come on. My friend getting in trouble for the N word, sure. But THIS?!? It's just banter, and yeah, while some people see it as religiously offensive, its a saying that's as common as saying "what the fuck!"

That seems...odd. Can you post the full chat logs your friend was sent?
I severely doubt your friend was banned for saying "Jesus Christ." Like very severe doubt. It's more likely your friend was flaming and name calling and just said "Jesus Christ" in the middle of a rant. What it sounds like is selective omission, and he's using it make himself a victim or a martyr.
As a heads-up, I'm removing the individual's name from the chat logs, as it is not his account posting, and thus we can't be sure he's okay with it. The content will remain, as the question remains valid.
