Title. Someones i get players that autolock a champ say they cant play the position theyre assigned and either force someone else to play that one or be handicapped in laning all game.

Edit: I meant ranked >.< not blind pick.

In ranked/Draft pick it is, but its unlikely anyone would be punished for it unless they do it very often.

In blind pick, its not reportable or punishable.

Support is fairly easy (or at least it feels that way as a support main) if they get autofilled there but... I'm also seeing more people getting autofilled jungle.

Jungle... is NOT as easy a role. You're struggling to help 3 different crying babies crying for your attention while farming to make sure when you DO help, you'll be useful and not feed your laner a kill. You have to keep your eyes on the map while possibly struggling with being counter-jungled and there's little you can do as a novice jungler when THAT shit starts to happen. Every other lane has a <insert braindead champion here if you're not good at the role> but even if you go with a braindead jungler, the very complexity of the role makes it sometimes hard to grasp.

So... I'd be willing to put my points in "understandable if you can't jungle at all" but autolocking in Draft is shitty. Ban that.   ##If in doubt, submit a ticket to Riot. They don't bite and can answer general questions!

Any champ can go in any position they choose.

In blind pick there is no rule, and call order is just common courtesy.

In draft pick, stealing positions is punishable, but you can still play any champ into any position.

I'd rather have someone play their comfort champ into a role they arent familiar with rather than taking a new champ into a position they aren't familiar with. Yasuo and Zed can support if done right.

The mark of a good player is the ability to adjust to all scenarios. When this scenario occurs, just roll with it and try your best.

You can either cripple yourself or you can adjust to make it work. I've won plenty of games as double top lane and no jungle.

Honestly this is the way I feel about "autolocking". First off blind pick is literally do whatever you want mode, don't get mad over it there. But in actual drafts I frequently see people fighting over roles or champions, the way I handle it is if two people want to top and neither wants to mid I tend to report the one who went mid as it means they actually tried to keep the game going. And if I'm on jungle for example I will NOT take the empty lane because the other players are being <word I can't say here>.

I recently had a game in blind where no one wanted to top, so our support decided to take it upon themselves to ditch the ad carry and then we not only had one lane down/behind but TWO. You're gonna get these people, the best action is to ignore them and just practice during the match. Unless you take control of their champions there's literally NOTHING you can do, and all worrying about a loss that is no ones fault but the players being toxic will impact your games negatively.

Further examples, I had TWO games in a row on Twisted Treeline with an afk last night, when I noticed the AP carries in those games were gone I took Lux, went back to spawn, got some ap items, blew up the enemy teams that thought they had the games in the bag because it was "2v3". Well it went about as well for them as hearing the words "enemy triple kill" every time the respawned would. Had I gave into the afks/people not wanting to play properly I would have lost.

And honestly, calling someone an autolocker or worse because they can only play one champion and/or role, is not going to help them play better. In fact ANY time my team starts to flame me I become less inclined to help them with plays and just make my own off on the side lane of the map. If you think someone is doing something wrong keep it to yourself (don't flame), try your best to win, and report them after.

Sure. Lets ban people who get forced into a role they can't play by autofill they can't turn off and choose a champion they're comfortable with mechanic wise because they had no choice in the matter. Additionally despite numerous adverts by riot recently saying "Play Your Way" (including ignoring your teammates!)
