Can we pay a fee to get a banned account back lol.

people in real life do horrible things and get out like 1 month later by paying the bail lol. we can have something like that pls [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Paying bail means you can get out until the trial. It has nothing to do with the sentence for the actual crime; if you're sentenced, money isn't going to legally get you out of jail. "Good behavior" or "parole" might, but they both come with restrictions proportional to the crime(s) and sentence.

So, no, paying bail does not defeat the purpose, as it is a prelude to a PRELUDE of the purpose.

And permaban people had like 3 chances to redeemed themselves before their permaban (5 game chat restrictions, 20 game chat restrictions & 14 days suspension). So no.

No, you can't. The amount of money spent during the life of the account also won't affect your ban.

i actually agree with the idea of a bail system.

1st permaban 50$

2nd permaban 150$

3rd permaban you're out.

however, for an entire season. you are escalated to permaban status on the next punishment. with no decay for an entire year of activity on the account.

With all the time you spend demanding improvements to the behavior systems I can't believe you would suggest such a thing. It would be immensely immoral for Riot to let the most toxic people back into the community not because they reformed, but because they had money to spend.

They would still have to avoid punishment for an entire year. And it would be mostly for hate speech offenders who go from zero to permaban. Most of whom learn thier lesson and probably could have been alright with just a 14 day

Maybe you didn't know, but it's been proven that once a player reaches that point there is very little chance they actually change.

Actually, this is the unfortunate problem. Allowing permanently banned players another chance is an extremely damaging cost. Do you know what the success rate of the Level 20 Challenge was? 5%. Do you know that for each person, they clearly outlined the toxic behaviors and had 1 on 1 conversations with the players to try to improve their behavior? These are players that were hand-picked by Player Support staff because they felt the pleas from these players were genuine. The success rate was still 5%.

Do you know how many games on average these players played? 100 games / month. When a permanently banned player fails to reform, they are creating miserable experiences for hundreds, maybe thousands of players a month. That's not a cheap cost or a low risk and we cannot consciously justify that, for the sake of the rest of our players.

that may be true for repeat offenders. but i'm talking about the people who get instant permabanned for things like hate speech. many of whom are legitimately remorseful

I'm slightly more concerned with something else other than whether or not your idea should be implemented - your lack of comprehension to the English language and our legal system.

Bail allows you to pay for the release of someone while they are awaiting trial; meaning BEFORE that person is convicted. Having a banned account means the trial, judgement and punishment have already been passed. There's no such things as bails for those who have been found guilty. Your comparison to real life makes absolutely no sense.
