I mean when you are first pick, indicate you want to play Evelynn, and then someone bans Evelynn because "don't play Evelynn, she's weak and I want to win".

That shit's toxic as fuck.

The point of pre-declaring your champion is to give everyone more time to consider team composition. Not participating in it means you deprive your allies of the chance to determine at a glance what'd fit the comp better than maybe their first choice.

Banning someone's champion because you disagree with their choice should not be considered acceptable behaviour. "Fixing" this by refusing to participate in pre-declaration isn't a fix, nor should we play the blame game where we blame people who declare their pick intent.

Pretty much, lol. I was prepared for it, though. People feel strongly about being allowed to decide whether someone is or is not allowed to play their main champion.

You insist on declaring your pick so others might change their first pick to complement you better? Also I don't get why people get so mad when their pick gets banned. If you can only play/only enjoy playing once champ the somethings wrong.

Do what everyone else does and don't show a champion during the pick intent phase, or go 5x nunu.

I've taken to simply picking a champion who fills a similar niche, so I at least still communicate what I intend to bring to the team. If I pick Shaco for the jungle, at least they all know I intend to play an assassin who ganks early. If they do ban Shaco, that just rids me of a champion I really hate playing against.
