Permanent Bans

Has Riot considered changing perma-bans to something less harsh to like 6-month bans or 1-year bans? Seriously it is harsh having an account that you invested tons of time and money into banned away for eternity just because you had a couple bad days. I'm not saying I didn't deserve a punishment on a previous account, but I think there should be better warning before Riot bans an account for eternity. Like I had every champion and a lot of skins and all the rune setups I needed to having an account with no versatility as far as counter-picks/rune customization goes. For instance, Annie is a cheap champion for IP, but to play her at her best you need move speed quints over 2000-IP each and probably a couple new pages if you're not going to just spam one champ. I guess the other option is to just stop playing league forever, but I don't want to do that because it's fun as hell. I'd rather just stop flaming teammates and trolling games cuz I've learned my lesson. I think Riot has been a bit liberal with its use of perma-bans though and I'd like them to reassess the swiftness they them out with.

You get three tiers of punishment before the perma, that seems like plenty of warning to me.

Time length bans don't work since players can switch to a smurf account while they wait out the ban.

In order for players to learn not to repeat that behavior, the punishment has to be substantial to enforce the notion that "rude behavior will not be tolerated".

They even tried permanent chat bans. Spoiler Alert: It ended horribly.

Trust me when I say the amount of permanently banned account is actually very small. It just seems like a lot because the only ones complaining are the ones that received a ban. Especially on the PB&M board which is already tiny in comparison to the overall active accounts playing league right now.

The punishment tier system works quite effectively, and players receive ample warnings to cease their behavior or receive further punishment.

It doesn't matter how much time or money you spent. No one cares, nor is it relevant. There's a 4-strike system for a reason, and the only way you'd get immediately permabanned on first offense is if you did something so undoubtedly horrible that you skipped strikes all the way to a permaban. No. Players who would get permabans do not deserve to play League.

nope perma bans are needed.... sad thing is people dont learn. they are told the TOS and agree to it then proceed to break them and cry when they get punished and after the punishments of chat restrictions low priority queue, temp ban they dont learn and then still proceed to be an ASSHOLE then they get perma ban and cry its not fair
