Duo Bot Premades

Is it fair for one person to come into chat and say "bot with 'x'" and take bot without 'x' even saying anything in chat while all of us need to individually call our lane? I don't think it's fair. Does anyone else feel as miserable as I do about this? Whenever I plan to duo with a friend I call it separately because I know how infuriating it is to have your lane taken by someone that's not even in chat.

In blind pick, one of the social norms is calling the lane you want to go. That isn't a rule, it's just normal for that mode. Any champion, any lane (or jg). 3 top, 1 mid, 1 bot is ok in blind pick. 5 jg is ok in blind pick. Both of those have a tendency to lose the game, but it is permitted in blind. If you want more order, use Draft.

The person you're complaining about is calling the lane. They're abiding by the social norms. Why would the information that they want bot lane together need to be presented twice?

In a normal game, there is no official concept of "calling lane".

They're free to go bot if they want, regardless of what the team says/calls. They should communicate their intent to go duo bot. But they are not required to change their plan just because you "called" a lane.
