How to tell when riot is trolling your account.

Ok so its no mystery that riot will purposely put trolls in yours games to keep you down. Like losing a 5v3 should not happen. But 4 people on you team start inting and it does. BUT this doesnt always happen. There are periods where I will not encounter these type of people on my teams for days maybe weeks. Then all of a sudden one day they come back. And they do not leave for a few days. Winning lane(more cs, no deaths, turret first blood etc.) then roaming and helping all lanes get turrets while still not giving kills should not net me a loss for 10 games in a row. Lots who read this( if anyone even does) will try to say "maybe your just bad, don't know how to close out a game or team fight derpa derpa". Simply not the case. When I am not pair with the aforementioned trolls I win games with little to no effort for many games maybe a loss here and there. The fact that I play better but am paired up with these type of people does not mean its my fault. I am not imagining people purposely coming to my lane and just standing there and dieing while flaming me and I have zero deaths. Riot does this on purpose just wondering if anyone knows why or how to tell when your account being targeted. ?

Well first things first: Remember that you have to wear your tin-foil hat before starting up the LoL-client and only take it off once the game is fully closed (check the task manager to make sure the process is no longer active).

If you do that, you at least make yourself less of an attractive target for Riot, since it makes it both more difficult to tell how to best make you rage and more difficult to harvest your emotional energy. In fact, even a single layer of regular store brand tin-foil reduces the efficiency down to somewhere between 25% and 50% (depending on your distance to the closest radio station).

Apart from the good old tin-foil defense, it's important to report the trolls. This way Riot knows that you are aware of the trolls. Giving them such crucial information might sound like a bad move, but if you don't report the trolls, Riot might mistaken an innate calm mentality for oblivience and will try to push trolls into your game more aggressively and in higher numbers. If they notice it's really just your calm mentality they might, once again, consider you not an attractive target for their rage harvesters.

That's why a calm attitude is generally also advisable. Try to still get the most enjoyment out of the game, despite the trolls. This is probably the most difficult way of lowering Riot's ability to turn your emotions into electricity for the eventual robot uprising, but it's so effective I recommend working on this.

Either way, tin-foil should be your #1 priority.

sure thing

the way you can tell is through a number of ways

a surefire way and my personal favourite to figure out if you are targeted is to take a loaf of bread and put butter and jam on one side and then let it fall to the floor. if it lands jam side up then you are good to go. if it lands jam side down tho then it means your next 5 or so matches you will have afkers, leavers and inters. if this happens, do yourself a favour and find some other way to entertain yourself. might i suggest minecraft?

Yes it's actually more like a popular superstition, the result of players that tried to understand how the ranked system works but got stopped by their own ego.

You people are harsh.

anyway, the one thing that needs to stop are immature bandwagoner asskissers constantly assuming that it's YOUR fault you are going on a losing streak because of trolls.

if you are CONSISTENTLY winning lane, having lowest deaths, most damage dealt on the team, good cs and rotations, taking objectives. and being the best player on your team and still getting repeated trolls, and you are NOT the ones flaming them, then YOU are NOT the problem. There's such a thing called bad luck.

Those students who were murdered in Florida were victims of bad luck. or do you same people think "oh, they got gunned down, it must have been their fault, too?"

BAD THINGS HAPPEN. It's called REAL LIFE.

But people like to judge, make easy explanations and excuses and copy what every other "cool kid" says because it takes less work. it takes less brain cells. It requires less calculation and effort. And people are lazy. So instead of thinking independently and critically, they just say silly stuff to make themselves feel good, while they get their high off belittling victims.

the one thing everyone forgets however is confirmation bias. Negative feelings and experiences hurt FAR more than positive experiences help people. You are far far more likely to remember and be adversely affected by 10 games in a row of toxic immature rude trolls, than 10 wins in a row of complete utter facestomps and nice people. Of course you'll remember the wins but you'll just laugh it off and go 'oh wow, boring, standard fare, next game". So you are going to remember the negative experiences and losing streaks more than the positive ones.

negative energy hurts far more things than positive energy helps.

I read this and am reminded of an old phrase/meme:

When I'm winning: "Haha all these scrubs suck. I am amazing."

When I'm losing: "omg trolls/lag/int feeders/ any other excuse."

Yes, among millions of accounts, they feel the need to stop the rise of the Bronze 4 NA player, no matter what the cost.

so many downvotes lmfao. just asked a simple question that requires an almost as simple answer. if you have been targeted like this what have you noticed that you are doing different than when not getting targeted. and no its not random it comes in waves like 5 - 10 days of normal then 2 -3 days of people who queued up solely to make sure whoever was on their team gets a loss. these "only intend to lose" people never show up in any of my games during normal periods, only during trolling periods. not sure why any one is being rude or think I'm a conspiracy theorist my post is based on factual observation completely unbiased. just give an answer or idea if this happens to you if not just read and don't comment. you want a community that treats it self with such disrespect then please by all means continue to disrespect people. you only harm yourselves in this manner.

What does Riot gain from putting trolls in your games to keep you in a low elo?

swordofsun2/19/2018, 6:42:44 PM1 votes

I used to work with a guy who was convinced that our supervisor sat at home, on his own computer, in his own time, and messed with this guy's system.

I'm gonna be honest here and I want you to really take this in. My old co-worker sounds more reasonable than you do.

I also know that talking to conspiracy theorists with logic doesn't do anything. So, in the interest of expanding my repertoire of tin hat logic: What's you're proof? Citation needed on this post and all that. I get that you believe that Riot is purposefully putting these trolls in your games, I would just like to understand your reasoning. Preferably in a power point presentation.

I didn't read comments but expect a lot of "it is your fault" or "that is your MMR, git gud" and other crap. I don't know for NA but on EUNE or EUW do not bother playing after 2pm or so. Only decent games i get are in the morning time.

Telephone Booth2/20/2018, 5:36:47 AM1 votes

What would have to happen for you to not believe there's a conspiracy against your account? Never have trolls? Only have trolls every other day? Have a consistent amount of trolls throughout time? And then answer, why?

One time I was on a winning streak, got to promos, then had 2 games of full on trolling. (Omg conspiracy) Another time, I won a couple games and got to my promos, and then I won both promo games!

It's the nature of statistics. There's Millions of players, you're gonna get every pattern possible eventually. There is no conspiracy against you man. Only confirmation bias, and the random nature of the universe.
