Banned account for malicious red party or Modifications?!!?

So I came home from work yesterday and got on to League To play a few games. To my big surprised I have been banned : "Your account: was banned due to the use of malicious 3rd party programs or modifications to your League of Legends client." got this via e-mail.

Whaaaaaaaat?!?! Didn't even know 3rd party programs existed and how would you modify league? lol All of this to say what's going on Riot. I am about as vanilla as it comes as far as players.

Ban me for something I did and shouldn't have and I will be cursing but truth be told, deep down I will know I fucked up. Ban me for something I didn't do and didn't even know existed... Now I think you guys have a problem with how you figure these things out.

Has anyone else been banned like this and have no clue how they ended up banned? Or is this a fluke and I was the unlucky one.

P.S. No one had access to my account I never paid for elo boosting I never did anything other than, download, play and update the game...

There is a riot spaghetti code line that is banning people with AMD drivers is what i hear

A lot of people are getting banned for 3rd party apps on their computer. Send in a ticket and resolve it with them, they will most likely give your account back. Just be polite when writing the ticket.

Thx for your reply BushPaul. That is what I did, I sent them a ticket. There is no reason to be impolite, I believe they will resolve this correctly as I have done nothing wrong. If they don't... Then they lose a player. Because I will not reinvest months of playing to get all the champion and runes back especially to have the same thing happen to me another time. I did nothing wrong this time, why wouldn't this happen to me again in the future...

Seems like a general email that they send out after they have banned us. And they dont give us the real reason to how the ban took place. I installed Overwolf about 3 months ago and now im banned. But acording to overwolf the lolwiz loader was approved and helped developed by riot games. So we getting banned because we running this software alongside Leauge Of Legends.

Im really not happy about this and seems like a load of people have been banned recently and think its to do with overwolf.

I really like the way riot can not be more clear on what we have done. Do they even see what the threat is or is it just something not right lets ban them. Money I have spent is gone now. But its ok riot dont ban your ip just the account so you can make a new one and speand more money. Well i wont be doing that. The people who hack and dont spend money or bot accouts for sale there still on the servers laughting.

This is a joke and people should not stand for it.
