Clarity on report threats.

It was my belief based on the old forums, that choosing to announce "Report X for Y" was toxic as an unnecessary report beg. A reported player is a reported player since report density in a match is said to not exist. With that in mind, there's no benefit to a report beg but it breeds toxicity, counter toxicity and unnecessary problems, debates, defenses, ect and creates tilt.

The report begging is one of the things that happens often (I'm rarely a victim,) and the beggers never believe they are being even slightly toxic or breaking a rule.

Clarity please, for all those people that haven't seen it labeled as toxic in older seasons. IS it toxic?

It is harassment and serves no purpose except to bait other people into reporting someone for something the baiter does not want to report themselves (due to it probably not being punishable and hurting report weight).

All it does is tilt their team and make them look immature.

It is a bannable offense. I reserve no opinion on the matter as I am not a human. I'm just a trusty rusty golemn Blitzcrank

Does anyone know if telling people that its bannable is toxic? Ever since I heard of this I type "Fyi, asking for reports is punished as verbal." when people report beg. Sometimes I will also add "9 reports are the same as 1 report since they changed the system after season 4.".

Just want to know if informing people is punishable in and of itself.

i had a question regarding this. is it okay to say something along the lines of. "please stop typing and play, or i will report you" in order to get someone to stop flaming?like. not threaten per say but "hey bro, you're getting over the top

I was kind of hoping a red name would give a response, so I can save the link to this thread as a reference point for anyone perpetuating the toxic "plz report so and so" "i'm reporting so and so" behavior.
