Picking summoner's rift used to have a "be prepared for a 25-45 min game". I don't remember seeing that anywhere in the new client, but it's the same idea. When you click play, you sign up to finish a match from start to finish.

If your teammates don't want to surrender, maybe they know something you don't, so play on. Yes, there are times where people troll, but that's too bad.
