Norms vs Ranked
Normal unranked is where you play to get better. It's a mode where you focus on your own play. You focus on yourself and focus on trying new and risky things. Like going in a 1v2 or counter jungling intensively. Putting yourself in these situation, gives you the opportunity to practice and get better.
Ranked is where you play as a team to win. You don't do stupid shit here. You don't cry over a few cs or a red/blue buff. You don't do stupid things to jeopardize your team's victory. When you are down 2 deaths versus your lane opponent, you don't continue to dive head on and feed them another 3 kills because you think the game is over. You suck it up and farm under turret. Even losing 3+ cs per wave, you lose it for your team's sake. In ranked, you look at the bigger picture, the mid-end game, that one team fight that impacts the outcome of the game. If you lose lane early, you don't amplify your opponent's chance of victory because you can't accept reality that you loss your lane.
Unless you can solo carry (and believe me when I say, if you've never reached diamond+, you can't solo carry silver/gold games), your victory is not because you did very well by yourself. Your team and you, have every single impact to your win/loss. There is no one person to blame or credit for your victory/defeat. If you're not ready to play competitively as a team, DO NOT RANK.
