What is the point of playing League if you don't stream or Pro Play?

I'm starting to ask myself this question because frankly the fun factor is at the lowest point for any game for me. I know I can improve in multiple aspects, but it feels like it's wasted effort. Don't know why but it seems league just aint what it is. Probably will get downvotes for saying this but it's all good. Just thought I'd ask for a lil food for thought.

I have counseled a few players directly on this exact subject matter, and I reverse the question on them: if you are not having fun, why are you playing? if a game is taking away from your happiness and not contributing to your joy, then its merely work you aren't getting paid for doing. They key is to not play it for a month, and if after a month you want to play, play on!

Unless you are playing for a living, why play if it's not fun? If you aren't finding it fun, you should go play something else.

If you can make a living out of it, then the question is more for the streamers instead of regular players like us.

#Fun.

If you don't find it fun, that's okay -- League may not be the game for you. Find another one you do enjoy and play that one and, if you find yourself missing League, keep an eye on its changes and see when and if it looks like something you'd enjoy again.

I mean, if you don’t enjoy it, don’t play it. Plenty of other great games out there.

For fun?

I mean I think you already have your answer. Nothing anyone would say will mean much. It's okay if you don't want to play anymore even if you were unable to be successful.

For me, I'm still having fun after 3 seasons, even with how much I dislike how solo q works.

Hope you find something that isn't so frustrating, good luck.

Personal cultivation. Emotional control. Challenge self to higher heights. Laugh at looser and trolling behaviour board.

If you live off negative energy this place is a gold mine. 🤣🤣🤣

To have fun. Ever heard of fun? It is a pretty cool concept.

The point is fun. If you're not having fun, you should find a game that you do have fun with. The nice thing is that your stuff will still be here later, so if you decide to give League another try later, you won't lose anything.

People get way too attached to a single game, and keep playing it even when it makes them miserable - it's what leads to threads like the 'surrendering is more fun than winning' one that was popular earlier. People need to recognize that sometimes stepping away from a game is a GOOD thing. Taking a few months to play other stuff and come back when you have renewed interest(or not at all, if the interest never comes back) is perfectly fine.

If you can't play it for fun, play it for a living
