how often do you get reported for offensive language, when you haven't even said a word the whole game?
i think this misuse of the reporting system should be punished itself, i can't count how many times this has occured to me, its not even bothering me anymore, but i'd hate for it to reflect poorly in the future when my account gets reviewed
False reports won't hurt you. If you didn't say anything wrong, then verbal abuse reports have no effect on you; the people that make them even lose weight in their future reports.
You don't get a notification for every report you get either. The warning popup only appears when you've received more than the average number of reports, and don't necessarily mean you'll be punished.
As Deep Terror said, false reports fall on deaf ears. If you said absolutely nothing the whole game and focused on just playing then you have nothing to worry about. If you had responded to these threats and lies then it could be bad depending on how you responded. Just keep your cool and let them blow all the hot air they want. They will get what is coming to them in due time and you'll be a better person for not adhering to their taunts.
Those people technically do get punished. When false reporting a whole lot their report worth becomes lower.
I get reported for verbal abuse in about every 1 of 3 games =/
Couldn't tell you how many times I've been reported for "offensive language" when I have said little or nothing in a game.
False reports are like crying wolf. Submit enough false reports and Riot won't even consider your reports valid. They probably just delete them when they see your name.
