Suggestion: How to deal with people who never connected into the game

Heyho guys,

So I've just seen a thread where people complain about ranked games that count as a normal ranked game, even though a player never connected into the game right from the start. This is a very frustrating experience and in most cases the team that only has 4 players won't stand a chance and will have to surrender as soon as possible, it doesn't even matter if it's ranked or normal.

So my suggestion would be to implement a system that won't even let the game start if a player never even connects to the game. The player that didn't connect would be treated similar to somebody who dodges championselect (maybe a bit more harsh, since there might be more potential to exploit the system) and the other players are just put back into the queue or lobby. If you have a team of 5 premades queuing up the team should possibly be able to decide if they still want to start the game or if they want to quit the game, since the teammates are most likely communicating, so they know if the other player will still make it. A quite similar system is implemented in Dota2 and even though the game works abit different (championselect =/ hero select in Dota) I've almost never seen a game where you'd have to play with people just because somebody didn't connect.

This wouldn't hurt your playerbase and it would take alot of frustration away from the game and people with random or known connection issues have a chance to fix it and try again.

Of course this would need some work to make it fit LoL and to make it unexploitable, but it would save the day or the hour for many many players throughout the League-community and might also let players be more positive, since they don't have to experience the frustration of such games.

Further suggestions, improvements or red posts would be highly appreciated.

Have a nice day and gl&hf in your next game! :)

I like the idea, and agree that a harsh punishment to those who can't regulate their problems.
