Take down sites that show you are in your series, or just get rid of series

I have now played my 3rd series in which someone on my team has pointed out that I was in my series and proceeded to intentionally feed/ try to lose that game. I am pretty blown away that there can be a ranked experience in which people can do stuff like this and not be permanently banned from Ranked. The old system of having a ranked elo number was less abusive and should be the way ranked works if things like this can happen.
