I'm trying to understand what soured in our society that people can't understand basic principles about attitude, having an emotional spine, etc. when those principles are being presented to them. You can speak plainly to someone on the matter, and it goes in one ear, out the other, and their response is similar to that of someone on a hallucinogen who couldn't tell the difference between what you just said and quotes from a biology lesson on the anatomy of unicorns. Might as well be the same to them, 'cause nothing means SQUAT when it's just not palatable... ya know, maybe a little bland... maybe it needs a little salt...
Do I have to go back to ARAM/RGM? Can't I just chill in a ranked game, focus on being competitive, and MAINTAIN THE HOPE that chat will be filled with tactical advice, witty rejoinders, or ANYTHING REMOTELY wholesome? Do I have to mute everyone from the start? Because that's what I did last time I remember playing ranked consistently (been ages) and it worked wonders. IT SHOULDN'T.
