Instead of LPQ why can't we have a prisoner's island

i got a 20 minute LPQ for a bunch of games now (i'm pretty sure it's more than 5 games) and it's quite frustrating but hear me out for a second before you bash or try to say "working as intended"

look i am a season 2 vet and in the last 5 season's i had probably over 5000 games played (probably way more than that). out of those 5000+ games i've probably afk maybe 100 times or less (i'm sure riot has the accurate number). over the course of 5 seasons i've probably been punished from leaver buster like maybe 3 times or so (again i don't know the exact number but riot should have that accurate number) which is not much for the amount of games played. now granted yes some of those i have rage quit and deserved punishment for those so i'm not trying to get out of those as i accept punishment for those. but most of the leaves have been power outage related and those are out of my control but they especially have a big impact when combined with the games i did rage quit in.

like this current 20 minute LPQ that i'm doing right now has been a mix of both rage quitting and real power outages. lets look at the power outage portion of it for a second. i had two comcast techs last week come out to my house to figure out and fix why my modem would reset whenever it wanted when two days earlier everything was working fine. the first tech came out did some minor things to lower the TX levels and the problem i thought was fixed as two hours passed and no issues, but then the issues started happening again so i knew it wasn't fixed. so then two days after that the second tech comes out did some major maintenance such as moving wires and connectors/adapters to level the other levels (dB i think it's called) and then he found what the root of the problem was which was that the main cable line that comes from the power line pole that connects to my house was stripped, loose and/or damaged that was probably cause by high winds in the previous days. so when the wind picks up and moves the cable on the pole it causes the modem and cable boxes to reset and go off until the cable makes good contact again after the wind dies down. after that the problem disappeared as no issues have shown up ever since.

now this is something that is way out of my control since a simple power outage from the power company is something that lasts a few minutes or a few hours but no more than that unless theres a hurricane. did i stop playing while i waited for the issues to go away yes, but i was sure the problems were fixed which was why i tried to play and then turns out the problem was still there and i get leaves on my match history as a result.

now if instead of having LPQ and having a prisoners island approach i would be stuck playing with other AFKers and risk seeing rage quitters and also power outage players in my games until my account was back to good standing.

so now i ask based on this why should someone like me have to indure LPQ when prisoner's island approach would have been just as effective and a minor setback while my issues were being addressed. like i said earlier i deserve and accept punishment for the games i did rage quit in but punishing this harsh for games also out of my control is not the way to do it.
