Two games - 10 game chat restriction. Feel free to look at my post history to see the logs. One game - 25 game chat restriction. Had a Kha flaming/griefing me for about 1/2 the game until I finally muted him. I tried explaining why we couldn't contest drake.

Edited chat log to take out asterisks in front of "sigh" and "griefing" to avoid random italicization.

I would legitimately like a Rioter to defend this despicable system. The games that led to my first chat restriction were below mild. **Your system doesn't encourage improvement. It demands perfection/complete silence from teammates. ** The vast majority of that chat was between Kha and me, after he repeatedly told everyone to report me. I was trying to explain my strategy for the game and why I wouldn't ult into a fight where one or two players got caught out in their entire team. Additionally, this Kha repeatedly requested reports, which, according to Riot, is considered griefing. Yet no notification on his punishment.

When was your ten-game restriction?

The reform card provides recent games in which you broke the rules, but in many cases other games not included contribute to your punishment. You don't get the slate wiped clean when you're punished, so if you had just recently gotten off your ten-game restriction and immediately produced this log, you'd understandably trigger the next punishment tier. The logic behind this, I assume, is that you failed to demonstrate any change in behavior due to your previous chat restriction.

The system doesn't require anywhere near perfection. I can't comment on your ten-game restriction logs unless you provide them, but here, you are very clearly using chat in a toxic fashion. You spend nearly the entire game blaming and berating your teammates for their poor performance. I understand the frustration of playing with bad teammates, but constantly talking about it just shreds your team morale, causes tilt and distraction, and can even provoke active trolling or afking in response. It's bad for the game, which is why Riot restricts the chat use of people that talk that way.

Ninja edit: The Kha may very well have been punished, too. Confirmation notifications about punishments for other players are rare and inconsistent. I disagree with Riot's choices in that case, since I think it's valuable to instill faith that the system is actually doing its job, but that's the current world we live in.

You've been punished twice for more or less the same behavior..

Just use pings for those situations maybe if you didn't said all those things before "we can't contest" he would have listened to you.

If you want to lead your team, you need to be nice to your mates and more importantly, don´t make too many calls because that gets annoying. Your teammates want to play their game, if you can´t lead them, try to adapt to their style and don´t rage in all caps because they won´t listen to you.

Just ping them once, it's enough.

I don't listen to random people yelling at me in ranked, no way, nobody does, nobody wants to listen if all you said before was blaming draven !

But if you have someone who is calm, make good decisions and listen to his team people will follow/listen this dude. The most important thing is to give your team hope, stop blaming them.. you just can't expect them to follow your calls if you're acting like you did.

While in general this was not too bad you were consistently negative and if you have a history of being passive aggressive/negative It could lead to the next tier of punishment

Having all the context on your side doesn't excuse contributing in negative behavior. And a fact repeated can be used to harass.

Say you die a fair bit in a game. Do you feel better if someone is commenting on that fact in chat? Question mark pinging where you died most of the time when you do?

Maybe that doesn't tilt you at all. Cool. What about the average person? Doesn't feel too good. Yes, it's negative behavior and harassment to a fair number of people. Ultimately you can see it as you defending yourself, stating facts, justifying some sort of argument - but if the collective (and more importantly those arbitrating these decisions) don't see it that way you're just in the wrong and will get dinged for it.
