Should there be a distinctive punishment for intentionally rage quitters?

We know that currently you can quit a ranked game once in a while and have no consequences, but in doing so, you left 4 people devastated. For those 4, reporting you won't lead to anything, since you are unlikely to repeat this knowing that the automated system will catch on. Instead you will maliciously quit when the system will not pick up.

That being said, with proof of chat history of the offenders, such as 'bye bye, enjoy your lose' it is quite clear that they are abusing the system rather than innocent emergencies or disconnects. Right now, there is no way to stop this as support do not assist with these and rely solely on leaver buster.

Currently the leave comment box in report screen does not offer pics and links to screenshots are unlikely to be used by employee of Riot.

I've seen 1 case of a frequent rage quitter get manually reviewed and 14-day ban. He came on boards complaining about his punishment and Tantram smitefrequent him.

That made my day.

I think they should be exiled from the land.

But seriously why play the game if you're just gonna quit in the first 5 mins

How would you quit without getting caught? The LeaverBuster system is pretty sophisticated at this point and can detect things like afk farming or running around the jungle doing nothing in addition to outright leaving.

As far as rage quitting, I've noticed most of those also say reportable things in chat. And those can be reported for griefing.

Only if they blatantly admit to it before they leave. Like you said "enjoy the loss" disconnects. Yes that should be auto 14 day ban, in my opinion. But ONLY when it's blatantly obvious like that.
