Riot probably stop trying so hard to ban people who ruines the game

I quit around 3 years ago because there were too many toxic player which was not the main reason. half of them were toxic but they still play and try to win the game which is fine, the other half just start trolling. i came back 3 years after, thinking that riot tries so hard to reduce the toxic level of the community, it must be improved if not the same... But i am wrong, it got worse, 90% of the player who were toxic start trolling. But why? Riot got lazy on trying to improve the community by putting auto punishing bot that automatically chat restricts people who swear lol how funny is that... chat restricts doesn't help improve the community, it makes it worse, they need to actually ban people for having such behavior, people dont care and won't care if they can still play the game and screw people up... its sad

They do ban. Most people get one light warning, one heavy warning, then a 14 day ban, then a permanent ban.

Players who are confirmed to be proveably intentionally trolling get an instant 14 day ban on first offense.

So, say i play singed, go 1/22/whatever and proxy farm only. But i try to not get any kills as that will reset my gold and give the enemy team only more of it, while still trying my best to help whenever i can. Is that trolling? And if so, if you don't see me talking in chat and my build isn't a troll one, how do you know if i'm trolling or not?

You don't. Hence why it must be confirmed and proven, which isn't easy.

Trolls and inters do get banned but because they're getting smarter about how they avoid detection (and because Riot wants to try to avoid punishing innocent players as much as possible) it's harder to catch them in the act compared to simple chat-related offenses. Gameplay related offenses when proven to be on purpose are assigned a 2-week ban as the first punishment. In case you don't believe me on this point here are three examples of gameplay trolls being banned. Yes it's just three examples, but it proves that they do get punished.

Tribunal wasn't perfect either you know. I should know, as I participated in it back in the day. While it was helpful it still had some serious flaws.

-It was very slow to build cases. -Some cases built were for forgotten incidents that happened months ago. -Some players only did Tribunal just to spam punish or pardon cases without actually truly looking at the cases like they were supposed to do.

The IFS while not perfect is much better at processing and reviewing cases than the Tribunal ever was.

Also, even if everything was done with manual reviews you'd still have the same issues in detecting and punishing trolls and inters. Like with hackers, once you start punishing for one thing they turn right back around and do it again in a way that's more difficult to detect. It's a never ending cycle that requires the help of the community to do their jobs and report for actual cases of trolling and inting rather than just reporting players for having a bad game or not giving them their way.

Queue the violin. If swearing bothers you, go live in Temple somewhere. It's a normal part of every day speech so stop being a little bitch. Shit talking and trolling is a part of every single online game on the planet. Don't like it , well guess it's good there is a mute option so you don't have to hear it. Tired of people being so butt hurt anytime anyone says anything.

Swearing is not usually the bit that any player is concerned about. Swear words are just tools, and you can use them to make positive comments, neutral comments, or negative comments. The issue arises when someone chooses to belittle or insult or harass another player, encourages them to harm themselves, or uses language pretty much exclusively used to display discrimination and hatred.

If you do seek to act like that towards your fellow players, I would recommend not encouraging other players to mute you, but instead seeking another game. Otherwise you will likely end up punished yourself in the future.

I mute everyone anyways and don't really use chat. I am just saying I'm tired of everyone complaining about it, don't want to hear it? Then use mute. It's a pretty simple action. The game is not even a team game unless you actually have a team you play with. Is all about what you can do your self to carry the game.

In fact the game should start with everyone muted, with the warning that un muting subjects you to what ever people want to say. If you want to be apart of the trash that happens every game. It was your decision to unmute

Well sure. That works, but that's sort of the equivalent of saying "don't want to get hit with an arrow? Then dodge." The primary issue is still the guy shooting arrows at you. Just because there's a way around it doesn't mean we should gives people a free pass to be as offensive as they like.

Well yea that's the point , it's like anything in life you don't want to have happen or do. Like I don't want to be homeless, so what is needed to prevent that? Get a job, pay your bills. Why ?because it's what is necessary. Same for chat, don't like it, don't use it. Maybe riot should remove chat as a whole, as even positive comments are deemed toxic to many.
