hmm ... it's the new season, so everyone got a soft reset. Typically 1 tier lower than what they were originally.
So it probably means that him and his duo are in Gold previously, they are probably confident that they can get out, but the way they said good luck, probably means "you are going to stay in silver".
It's okay o was Diamond 1 last season made master 2x then demoted but I had a D1 player say to one of our team mates who was D4 "wow stay D4, scrub, you low diamonds are trash, get out of my ranked games" proceeded to flame him more becuz the D4 players plays a lot of norms (so do I nothing wrong there) D4 is about 1% of the population and D1 is 0.089% do like he said "hey top 1%, you suck get out of my .89%" It's even more stupid with the % rofl some people on league are very stupid, and toxic

Had a guy who flamed my jungler in champion pick because he wanted to play Nunu. Want to add that the one who flamed him was the midlaner and was autofilled mid from his preffered role of jungle, so i understood his frustration.
now to get to the point, the fun thing was that he called the Nunu a "silver noob" or something. so the Nunu obviously asked back "what is your rank?" as stupid as that midlaner was, he said "Diamond". so i opened op.gg and whoa, Gold 4. always fun to catch people lying live.
to end on a good note, i did mute the player. but from what i heard from my premade friend, he had seemed to calm down and untilted after we got the lead and ended up winning the game, honored the midlaner for Tiltproof as proof that i appriciated that he didnt give up on the game.
