Ziggs JG? Why does Riot only look for feeders or negative chats?

So our jg locked in Ziggs jg in solo/duo rank and our team was in panic. No one dodged and the game started. During the game, Ziggs didn't gank until 10 min but only stole my (mid lane) cs and failed many ganks. Of course we lost the game and our support Rakan threw the game at the end, too. I reported this Ziggs jgler for trolling but I didn't receive any notifications about whether he was punished or not. Why don't players who troll like this Ziggs get reported? Why does Riot mainly ban players who became angry because of a troll in their team? Does Riot only look at the chats? I hope they punish trolls by reviewing the game carefully. Thank you.

Going off-meta isn't a punishable offense, assuming it was still his intention to win the game. There have been a few times in recent memory where various mages work in the jungle, after all.

Did he deliberately troll you in any way beyond simply playing Ziggs jg?

That's the scary thing about the stricter leaverbuster/LPQ. Dodging is scarier than ever, and you get people with such weird, obviously sub-optimal picks.

Jungle isn't mid's personal pet. It's disappointing they did not help, but we only have a limited account of what they supposedly did/did not do. As it is you noted that what ganking that did happen didn't meet your expectations. At least they tried. That said, if they constantly ragged in chat on you dying then that could end up a punishable offense. Try not to take this too personally, report them if you think if their commentary on your play was excessive, DON'T FLAME BACK, and move on. If that guy continues that behavior the penalties will catch up to them.

Who knows? You may see an angry post from them about being "unfairly" banned down the line. : )

Well alot of "Off-Meta" Junglers have weaker early game. Nobody is supposed to gank you ever. Just accept his choice and adapt. You even said he "failed many ganks" so obviously he tried. After all it is a teamgame, If it is his choice to Play jungle Ziggs, that's perfectly fine and nowhere near bannworthy for that fact alone. Coming from a jungler though, one thing you gotta understand... Being hateful, accusing and blaming the jungler or spampinging will 99% NOT lead to him wanting to help you anymore [slayer-jinx-catface]
