Banned for int feeding

So earlier today I received a 14-day suspension for intentional feeding based off 1 or more recent games. The game right before the ban was issued was me not getting jungle (my main role) in a blind pick but I still locked Master Yi with ghost and smite and decided to go double jungle and see how it goes. Lee Sin (the guy who got jungle first) threatened to int and leave the game if he didn't get solo jungle so I just went mid lane (which was free) with ghost/smite like the nice guy I am so Lee doesn't ruin the game. I went vs a Yasuo mid, ourfarmed him (surprisingly) and solo killed him 2-3 times with my crappy summs, but then the enemy Riven jungle camped my lane and I got instantly bursted and then the Lee came to just to miss his Q and feed them a kill. Afterwards bot lane came mid to tax my waves with the excuse of "taking turret" and I couldn't farm at all then the Lee did a shitty engage and cause us to almost get aced. I knew the game was over at this point so I decided to get it over with ASAP and get to another one that I can actually carry. Maybe it's not just this game, but so what if you feed a couple kills when the game is already over anyway? Is it really the end of the world? And if you're going "you ruin the game for other players "then I'd say players like the Lee Sin ruin the game by being bad, I just gave them the Coup De Grâce to avoid unnecessary frustration.

Now I'm not naive to ask for the ban to be lifted or anything but I'm legitimately wondering if this ban is deserved, if so I'll never intentionally feed again.

Intentional feeding of any kind is prohibited. Few games are truly unwinnable, and, for those that are, it comes down to the surrender vote. If your team still wants to play the game, you owe it to them to help them win as best you can, even in the face of overwhelming odds -- that is what you signed up for by queuing up to play League.

Because intentional feeding ruins games, it is subject to a zero tolerance policy -- a 14-day ban on the first offense, followed by a permanent ban for any other behavioral violations on the account. So be extra careful for a few months at minimum, and make sure your behavior (both in-game and in-chat) is as good as you can make it.

I agree with your first paragraph, but what I can't understand is what these players' brains signal them when they see a 4-16 team score and every single lane hard feeding yet they refuse to surrender, not my position to judge other people's brains anyhow.

But clearly the argument here is that inting is wrong/ruins games because Riot says so, disregarding the given circumstances and how extremely time efficent it could be. Riot knows better I guess.

If i play a normal game i want to have fun. I dont want to end the game with a surrender cause i just want to play. You would be a guy ruining it for me so its justified.

For disagreement, don't see how can someone have fun getting crushed mid lane under tower for majority of the team till enemy team dives and wipes your ass then gets baron and end, or worse they can keep toying with you for up to 40 min and still win the game. To each his own I guess.

Talking about normals though, in ranked I haven't a clue why would someone want to waste time in a lost cause when you're playing exclusively to win.

It's fun because there's someone who's better than you at something, And it actually makes you want to become better. Also winning each game is gonna be boring anyways.

my winning/losing games are always fun. Unless someone starts to flame or curse in the chat. That's where it doesn't become fun anymore.

Besides, surrender is never a good call. I've played many games where we were losing so hard and still managed to win the game because the enemy team got carried away. Many times I've clicked the No button and because of it, I got to end the game with "Victory" on the middle of the screen instead of "Defeat" For games that are far far from winning, however, I sometimes mange to at least get a better K/D/A. And be like "I did something"

Technically speaking, it isn't really your place to decide what is or is not fun for your teammates. If they say that they want to continue, then you have to take them at their word. As The Djinn stated above, you have an obligation that you accepted by queuing up for a team game.

Some players just want to play the game out. If you're concerned about improving as a player and not JUST winning, playing a losing game can be a helpful experience. It's GOOD to know how to play when far behind, since some day you MIGHT be able to turn a game around. Learning how to enjoy a losing game and strive for personal improvement is also just a helpful thing for your League career.

It's also wrong and ruins games because it means your teammates are stuck with someone who is not even trying to win. League is a game that is supposed to be fun to play, and also one where you're going to lose about 50% of your games if your MMR is accurate. If you're in it ONLY for the wins I would suggest that this may not be the game for you, as, ideally, 50% of your games WILL be losses. It's not supposed to be about time efficiency of your wins -- it's supposed to be about playing a game you find fun.

Do you have a reference for IFS for chat being the same as IFS for intentional feeding?

I was under the impression that even if you got a 14 day ban for intentional feeding, as long as your chat logs didn't show evidence of you doing that again you'd still start at the 10 game restriction level and move up in chat, and vice versa.

I'm pretty sure LeaverBuster is completely separate but if you have any info on that being connected I'd appreciate it, just for my info.

I do not have a reference that says they are the same, but I also do not remember anything saying that they are different systems, so I feel it's best to assume they are the same to avoid the possibility of future punishment.

LeaverBuster is indeed an entirely separate system though.

me personally (and i dont know if it's punishable i assume it's not since im not hurting anything) if i dont think i can win i just keep asking to surrender when it's available. until it goes through, we win, or we lose i try my hardest to win - and if we do i comment on my surprise enthusiastically.

if at some point i notice the game's state of power change i stop asking to surrender and start denying it.

Every single thing I'm reading in this discussion is selfishness. "ruining the game for me" It's a team game. Nobody cares what you want. What you want is irrelevant. That goes for you and all the people arguing against you.

Not sure what's up with the downvotes, I thought the fellow community would understand the situation and support a fellow player that happened to be a victim of unfair circumstances that lead to this lengthy punishment. It's not like ex-pro players like the Rain Man don't acknowledge this behavior and practice it on a regular basis. I'm beyond disappointed at this point.
