Demoted from an AFK'er

I really don't like complaining after 6 years of playing this game... BUT, i got demoted off of a game where our skarner DC'ed about 10 minutes in while we were winning. Why is that allowed? we all played awesome, my team was great and everyone banded together but i get demoted because someone decided to jump ship for no reason. They just left.

I have a 50% win rate and worse now simply because I either am having a good game with a decent team (Win) or 1+ lane just feeds the entire game (loss) there is so rarely an in between and i am simply tired of trying so hard for so little. I have been stuck in Gold 1 for so long now and today i got demoted off this AFK'er and i just. I am just so sad at this game. i'm so broken. I just wanted to nicely grind my way back to plat like i did last season and i just have almost no motivation now.
