Does Game Modes Affect the Outcome of Reformed Reward Period

Me and my friend were both given a 14 day suspension for trolling but, mostly each other in the same game, we said a few immature things we wish we could take back and were frustrated with each others play. After our 14 bans, Ive been on good behaviour and playing mostly Aram for the past 2 and half months, my friend on the other hand stuck with rank. We played about the same amount of games but, hes been receiving loot for the past month and I'm still ineligible to earn loot. I was just wondering if game modes affect the outcome of reform period to earn loot? If not, what other factors may come into play when trying to reform ones self.
