I should be reported for creating toxicity

"Your playing so badly that you making me toxic, so I should actually report you for toxicity because you are inherently creating it"

A philosophical toxic miss fortune told me this today, and I have myself thinking, is she wrong?

  1. A baddie plays bad
  2. A flamer flames them
  3. baddie doesn't know what he did bad, and in retaliation, he plays worse.
  4. Flamer flames more.

Cycle of toxicity continues.

Having been flamed for taking Heal over Exhaust as a support, I find that many definitions of "poor play" are highly subjective.

She is not wrong. In the current social climate though she is wrong. Most of the people being held accountable are those that respond poorly to the POS who ruin everything they touch and do nothing to improve themselves. We live in a society today where it's ok to suck at everything you do and not bear any personal responsibility. Why would it be any different in a video game where people like that can really thrive?

Yes, she's wrong, but it also is important that you understand bad play does actively frustrate players and you should always strive to do your best. After that, ya, it's just the MF being toxic with you innocent.

Yes. She's wrong.

She has a point. Most flames begin with bad plays from a teammate...

I mean, from a certain perspective, she is right. But then again, only from a certain perspective. It is an opinion, to some it is true, to some it is false, to some it is facts, to others just a superstition.

We will never really know.

There's a huge difference between causality and responsability.

And even then you couldn't be possibly the cause of one's toxicity (besides yours) as it's something that comes from within the toxic person. You can be a catalyst for their toxicity, but you can't bring out something that isn't already there. You're merely an excuse for them to be toxic.
