I've never wanted to quit playing more than today. What is wrong with people that play this game?

I don't know man. The game is fun. It's fun to play all these cool characters. It's fun to make plays and get better and style. But what isn't fun has consistently stayed the same since I start playing in Season 5: The players.

What is wrong with these people? Troll picks and bans every few games. Insane flaming every game. Inting every few games. It doesn't stop. No matter how much I play. "Just mute flamers" Muting doesn't stop feeding. Muting doesn't stop pre and post game flaming.

I'll tell the story of the game that got me to this point, and it's not even tilt it's real deal sadness, but you've all heard the story before: a 3 man gangs up on someone in chat and the enemy team just joins right in. Post game people are all talking about reporting me, telling me to kill myself, etc. It's just not worth it, and it happens too much in this game more than any other multiplayer game around. So, I guess if all 7 of those dudes really did report me I have a good excuse to leave this hate filled game. I wish the report system actually worked.

I do have one question though: is there a way to actually make a difference. I want to keep playing, but other than not being the same as these people, there's nothing I can do but report and hope, which seems pretty much useless. Are there other ways to help this hate go away?

Like I said, this just happens too much for the game to be taken in a fun light. I'll still watch the LCS and I'll still be a fan of the game itself, but community will always be one word: Toxic. Fucking fix it. There has got to be a way to fix it.

the game itself is toxic before players even enter. the rules of the game create toxicity and it spreads to the players.

I can relate to you, man. When you have a game that is as cooperative as this one; where it requires a lot of team coordination. People are gonna butt heads. While I don't necessarily think it's justified, it comes hand in hand with these kinds of games. It's simply the crowd that it attracts. A lot of people acknowledge the toxic community, as well as Riot (hence them coming out with things like new honor systems).

Sad reality that it is, is that you can't really do much about it.

Depending on what ranked league you're playing in, the population is gonna vary. Bronze is going to kinda suck, Silver is going to kind of suck, but it's supposed it gets at least somewhat better as you continue playing. Bronze/Silver is definitely always going to be the worst as you get the people who have that "I don't give a crap" sentiment.

What I'd try to do is find a group of people you're genuinely comfortable playing with & create a ranked team. The game feels a lot better when you're with people that don't tell you to kill yourself every five minutes lol.

When you're going at it solo, there's not much more you can do than just mute/report people who are giving you crap, & do your best not to rage back at them. But believe me dude, I get where you're coming from.
