PSA: Don't ask other people to report someone

There's absolutely no point in getting more people to report the same person. It's the number of games reported that matters, not the number of reports.

I thought this was a pretty common knowledge, but it seems like a lot of people don't know this. Just report whoever it is yourself. You don't need to announce to everyone that you're gonna report someone. Also, if other people are trying to report you, just know that 1 report and 9 reports from the same game count the same.

I only report if, without their asking, it is blatantly obvious that something is amiss. If they ask to the point where I would consider it spam, I report THEM.

ok to be fair, there is reasoning behind this.

  1. it used to be true, and yes riot should make it more visible on how it isnt true anymore.

  2. much more importantly, you have a kind of "report score" if i report a person every game, and another person has never used a report, them using a report will matter much more then me using a report. so, by saying "please report x" you might get someone with a better "report score" to report.

i personally dont, and i do not agree with saying it, but there is reasoning behind it.

according to me, its now evolved into a low-key, unbannable type of flaming.

goldie but oldie, this habit took me so long to shake it was ridiculous.

I mean a couple years ago, this was literally embedded into the league culture.

This is not true, 4 ppl reporting 1 person in a game will result in a punishment with this chinese democracy viewed trash system.

I got penalized for 4 ppl reporting me for asking my support to stay back and not go in 2v1'ing trying to win each time. This was after the game was really lost because of it really late like 30:00 in or more.

He kept doing it I was nice asking, and they flamed the hell outta me because "Im the one in the wrong for asking him not to intentionally die every time he got back into lane"

I LOVE how people actually believe this bullshit, LMFAO. There is countless evidence of people getting in groups, trolling one person into making them almost suicidal, then when the quadra que reports the one guy for telling them to "stfu" he gets banned and the 4 trolls get off clean.

This is one of the many lies Riot tells in order to make you feel like the system is actually functioning as it should.

The biggest problem with this game is that kids can't take that they suck at the game, or can't accept that someone else points out THEIR mistakes so they threaten them with the weight of their "report." This community is mostly made up of whiny Hillary voters who think they are entitled to everything for free. This community had parents who told them that the losers of a game are 2nd best and they deserve trophies too! Lol, this entitled generation is a joke.

I feel like Riot is not making these things visible enough.

i ask others to report players on my team in cases of people going afk, feeding on purpose, refusing to even try and play. thats about the only times i ask for someone to be reported. bottom line summoners code states that the player is accountable fort the pc and internet connection they play on as so they dont ruin other peoples games. pretty simple concept and yet people dont understand it.

I feel like it's left over from the Tribunal; when the Tribunal was active, I paid more attention to cases that had multiple reports from both allies and enemies.

last season premades had more weight in reports being turned into discipline action. unless things changed, which i doubt, keep on asking people to report.
