"KYS" can we please do something about this?

I mean its one thing to tell some one they are bad or unskilled or suck. sure all of these things are bad a deserve punishment if taken to far and or to often

but to tell some one even once to "kill them selves" should be a instant chat ban if not worse. it is not funny. it is not cool. it is beyond unsportsman like conduct and harassment put together

before some one having a really bad day has a bad game and gets told this and does something horrible can we please put it on the instant censored list and possible chat ban list?

it needs to stop, and now

Report it in the post-game lobby and the automated Tribunal will take care of it. You seem to be assuming nothing's being done about it, but ultimately Riot has no way to predict what someone will say in a match. They can only punish someone once you report them afterwards.

It's not taken lightly. Saying something like that here on the Boards results in one of us removing the post and the player receiving a 7-day suspension. That's for a first offense. If they come back and continue, we'll permanently suspend their account.

Use the report system; it's there for a reason.

if you are the type of person who takes someone seriously or gets sad when someone types Kys in an online game perhaps unsuscribing from your internet provider making a appointment to your doctor and have your mom deliver your special meal to you in her basement.

Do what? Invent a machine that can tell the future so they can preemptively ban people who were going to say "kys"? What do you expect them to do? It is already a reportable offense and can get them banned.

What you are not understanding is that A) You can't flag 3 letters because they can be in actual words and it would limit communication to a degree, and B) People will just find another way to tell you to "kys" and every time you flag it they will make up something new.

Your best bet is to mute them during the game and report them afterwards. Honestly, this is going to sound mean but that is not my intentions, but someone that mentally unstable shouldn't be playing League in the first place. This community is toxic, it is a pretty well-known fact. If you are unstable enough that someone telling you "kys" is enough to unsettle you, you shouldn't play PvP video games in general.

I see you got my comment deleted so I will try to rephrase this somehow that will hopefully not upset you too much. If you are subject to being overly sensitive in that you cannot cope with the fact that someone else might say something that causes you undue stress. Perhaps you should limit your exposure and refrain from engaging in areas where this might happen, which is apparently everywhere. I hope you were able to get through reading this without too much trouble and I deeply apologize if it has hurt or offended you in a way that would affect your mental well being.

People would just find another way to tell people to kill themselves and the cycle will continue. kys could be a permanent, automatic ban and nothing would change.

But, all jokes aside. I really do hate people telling other people to kill themselves. It's so dumb and child like -- you also don't know what their mindset is like and edging people on can really push them over the edge.
