So recently i got banned, personally i think its unfair considering the amount of toxicity directed at me and out whole team agreeing that this player is toxic but its fine, just move on

This player even added me just to be toxic

Then i heard about the ban tier decaying and so is it possible to decay the lowest ban tier in league and how does decaying work and how long does it take

Why the hell are you accepting a friend request from someone you dislike? Remove them from friends list. That is an option.

Just play 10 games? Like really, that shouldn't take you more then 5 hours. You can do it all in a single sitting

The punishment itself dont decay, what decays is the punishment tier you are on.

There are currently 4 punishment tiers;

  1. 10 game chat restriction
  2. 25 game chat restriction
  3. 14-day ban
  4. Permaban

When you get punished, you'll move up the ladder and get more severe consequences next punishment.

What the decay refers to, is the drop in tier punishment, so you won't get more severe punishments.

On average, it takes 3 months of playing to drop a punishment tier. If you play a lot, it may only take 1 month to decay. If you let it sit and not do anything with it, it will never decay.

Had a similar experience, had a group of four yell at me the entire game for saying amumu mid is a bad idea to one of their friends and then they all reported me and i got chat banned. I'm more mad at riot than them.
