The new player experience

Is absolutely horrible

I made a new account to learn lanes as a jungle main so I wouldn't affect my main accounts rank, in these games I'm very carefree and help new players learn the game and answer questions they might have

It's been what 2 weeks now and my account is lv 27, most of my games have Smurfs that are toxic as hell, people that troll and people that int because their pre-30 teammates didn't help them

Most of the people I'm playing with are completely new to this game, sometimes even their first multiplayer experience, but they are being turned away because of the amount of toxicity overall

At least 15 different genuine new players have expressed fully in chat that they'll never play league again, think about that, 15 different players that you could see in your ranked games are turned away from toxicity

Like everyone is talking about how league is dying and the game sucks but looking back from the previous seasons it's been more balanced then ever (until Z O E). But no one at riot seems to understand that they have to protect new players.

The community in general now is by far more toxic than ever, less than overwatch but still toxic compared to other gaming communities

I agree completely. I actually came on this board for the sole purpose of expressing how upset I am with the negativity towards new players.

I'm fairly new, lvl 17, and have played as only a handful of the champions, and I still have to use guides to build them. I've been playing Aram to get exposed to a variety of champions. In almost any game where I play a champion that is completely new to me, there is always someone in the chat saying "omg worst [champion] ever" or explicits because I'm not playing the champion properly.

It seems like Riot needs to create a specific training mode or something for new/beginner player away from the toxicity. That way there's a safe introduction to the game, without some lvl 40 telling them that they're a piece of s***.

I'm very against censoring in chat, because people should say whatever they want, and I really don't want to report these super aggressive types either because they're just trying to play the game. But something needs to change, because the player base is really going to stagnate if we can't keep new people

I smell bullshit, I don't need to read anything else, if you didn't want to affect ur rank you'd play normals.
