Can we have permanent chat restrictions instead???

So I get a 2 week suspension for trying to get my teammates to stop flaming each other(I was nice for about 10 minutes and then i say "stfu", but thats it). Every game after that 2 week suspension was clean. I was not toxic, I was very nice, never flamed when i was upset, and I got lots of honors. I hit silver 5 and i decide to go play some normals to relax and have fun (i should also mention that I hit silver in pre-season). Instead of playing the champions i usually play, i decide to play vladimir for the first time. NEVER SAID A WORD OF TOXICITy. When you play a champion for the first time, your kda is usually bad, right? Well, my kda was terrible and my team attacked me for that. THIS PROVES THAT MY KDA WAS WHAT UPSET MY TEAMMATES. After the game, all 4 teammates report me and IM PERMABANNED! I strongly believe that permanent chat restriction is way better than a permanent ban! Here is the chat dialogue so you can decide if I was bad enough to get banned Game 1 Dawnthology: stfu --(i say stfu after being harassed for 2 min) Dawnthology: am i not allowed to play new champs or am i supposed to have my butt clenched every second im in a game? NOWHERE IN THIS DIALOGUE shows hate speech or any kind of "tyler1" language. Two more questions, I know that saying "stfu" and "idgaf, its norms" is kinda questionable but WHO CARES ABOUT GAMES IN PRESEASON??? PRETTY SURE NO ONE CARES ABOUT BLIND PICK PRESEASON GAMES. And, is the "level 20 challenge" still a thing? Its where a summoner with a permanently suspended account can go make a new account, get that account to level 20 WITHOUT ANY REPORTS, and have their ban appealed. I sent a request ticket asking if I can do the challenge except I HAVE TO HIT LEVEL 30 WITH NO REPORTS AND ALSO GET HONOR 5 so that i can get my main account back! vote in poll too thanks

They used to do stacking chat restrictions (essentially permanent, as people could and would stack them extremely high), and it simply proved ineffective in actually improving anyone's behavior; anyone that didn't improve or care about the punishment would just use their limited chat to keep doing the same thing and continue being problematic. Now you move up to account bans, and the threat of a real punishment is far more effective a motivator in improving behavior, or removing the problem entirely if they still have no interest in reform.

Did you know people have the ability to have a perma chat restriction Its very simple and there are a few ways to use one Now i know this may sound absurd something as easy as these next few things may solve your problems But I promise if you can do any of these things you too can have a perma chat restriction I am not joking with you Here are my opinions of the best way to get a perma chat restriction 1- Self control, now I know this sounds like sarcasm but if you can manage yourself in public you too can manage yourself in a videogame

  • in further review this is probably the least complicated system any user can access in regards to a perma mute
  • riot can't do this for you sadly, but Im telling you this is the best method

2- Youtube

  • Now i know what you're going to say, riot should install this for me. So i can be lazy and not take 5 mins to figure it out
  • But fear not let me show you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzo454nMNYE if that doesnt work for you there are several other varities that you can try such as unbind your enter key,etc if option two isn't your thing you can refer back to option 1, again the best option

the thing is once you get a 2 week ban, any bad behavior after that no matter how small(in this case stfu) is going to give you a perm ban, in this case its a little extreme but it how riot has always done it. if you want to try to get it overturned send riot a ticket and say the same things as you said here.

One thing that is true these days with League is that 80% of the time(my little guess) is that the only useful communication in League is through pings so if you're ever feeling frustrated just get over it and mute all other than a friendly person that you've already spotted out. I'm reformed take the advice, most of these players just are not pleasant to talk to or be friends with so you're wasting your time with them. Don't go removing your chat or anything like that... That's just silly.
