Is this still considered "toxic"?

Long story short, I was wondering if it's still considered "toxic" if you tell someone to kill themselves if you genuinly believe the real world society is better off without them? I don't think it's considered flaming if it's not used as a personal attack or insult.

Telling anyone to kill themselves is unacceptable and will not be tolerated by Riot Games.

You have no idea how someone is outside of pixels on your screen, you are not their judge and you certainly do not get a say on whether someone else is worthy or not, I mean take a look in the mirror before casting judgement.

I will be watching this topic, if it gets out of hand it will be locked.

And here we have the psychopath. Watch as he ostracizes himself from the herd by openly admitting his insanity.

as someone who has real depression and a few suicide attempts behind him, just dont. How do you know that someone doesnt belong to this world? Who are you to judge? people can have low self esteem and sometimes when they are on a low point, words like these can be the tipping point. now you could make the argument „why do they even come here“ and i tell you why, because leage is a game that is fun. personally i got used to the toxicity and the kiss yerself part, but know that there are weakwilled and weak minded people out there, who suffer from such words.

It shouldn't be.

Yes, it's still zero tolerance behavior. Made even worse by your admission that you use it for it's literal meaning rather than just an edgy insult.

If I call somebody my personal slave because I genuinely believe that they should be my slaves they are still insulted and repulsed. It's not up to the speaker to decide whether or words are insulting to them, it is all up to the recipient's reaction whether or not something is insulting.

However, the recipients can be overly sensitive and can be offended if you ask them to stop pushing. That is why a system is in place that detects if what you say is actually insulting. This way the most idiotic reports still get killed of.

If the recipient considers it an insult and reports you and the report system agrees, it is punished for a good reason(acceptions probably still exist). You both insulted people and were determined to actually have said insulting things. KYS is one of those.

You are a subjective being(like all of us), you have opinions and others might agree or disagree with you. In public, you should be mostly free to voice your opinion. This is a game however and sharing with them how you think about them is not something that other people are there to hear. If you get banned for telling people to kill themselves, the ban is justified, no matter what context, because this game is not the time nor the place to discuss other peoples life decisions.

TLDR: It is bannable because:

  1. It is still offensive
  2. The reporting system deems it offensive
  3. The game is not meant to be a platform for your speech, it is meant to be a game.

If you don't think telling someone to kys is flamming, you should get help.

How mentally unstable do you have to be to ask if it's toxic to tell someone to end their life over a video game?

I'm not sure how I'm meant to agree with the idea that telling somebody that real-world society is better off without them isn't a personal attack or insult.
