Sooo, I just got permabanned, pretty nice, been 2 days since i was released of my 2 week ban. Pretty cool I guess, lost a couple hundred dollars a few hundred hours yada yada. However, the reason I got banned, totally wasn't close to fair. Yeah I know you've heard this all before, but I got reported for saying "its like they have a mental disorder" pretty bad I guess, but, one of my team mates was yelling constantly "FUCK YOU RETARDED FUCK" and what, no perma ban for him? I really dont understand league these days. I'm not saying I don't deserve a ban, well I really don't but everyone's so sensitive these days, but I do not deserve to be permabanned. Thoughts?

Dont retalliate just mute them.... Simple... all rioters would say the exact same thing... just learn to ignore those types of people instead of being toxic.. generally if u retaliate say soemthing that has the ability to offend anyone any way.. ull still get banned and depending on what u say depends on how quickly u get banned and what not if im right...... ive had it happen to me i havnt had any punishments yet tho so ive just ignore them because they will most likely just stop

well you had just gotten off a 2-week ban, so you should have watched yourself. as for the other person, you should have just muted and reported and moved on. you don't know how many previous violations the other guy has, or if other people are reporting them or not, so you have no guarantee that just your report is going to going to get them a suspension or not.

and that, literally, is how to not get yourself in trouble and help keep the turds off the game.

Was it a nice comment? No.

Is it worthy of some sort of punishment? Of course not.

It's absurd to pretend like any comment that is mildly disrespectful or insulting is somehow banworthy, or that context shouldn't matter.

That said, Riot apparently has taken their behavioral code into oppressive extremes, ironically while they simultaneously discuss how they want League to be social and an "esport". Well, in pretty much all social situations, and certainly in every competitive situation, People will say some not nice things. That's life and we should stop punishing people for being a part of it

I think permaban makes no sense, yes this is a free game that you can play so you should proably respect their rules. But if you have paid some kind of money and if it is true that you spend so much money on that account you should never get permaban, yes half a year ban or one year ban, but not permaban that is just weird. Permabans should be only for people who are breaking the game, by hacking it.

They will not be punished only because riots punishment system will ignore that game, or at the very least chalk it up to 'one bad game' even if multiple people report him.

It's really easy to dodge any sort of punishments as all you really have to do is after a bad game that you really didn't say any sort of hate speech that stand out in riots mind (n word is about the only thing I've seen that is instant ban worthy) is have your next game or two really positive. it honestly just throws the system off, which is kinda stupid on the programming part. This has been based on reading chat logs other people have posted that have said they had been punished by the system and with my own feedback from roits system thanking me for reporting them and following of toxic players that i have reported using the spectate mode in op.gg sometimes.

Because that person may only get a chat restrictions if it was their first punishment. As you continued shortly after your 2 week ban, you were banned. If that player was saying such things and you rexported them, they WILL be punished.

My permaban was similar, got banned for "mumu has downs" as my worst line. Feels good to be banned for something so simple. Guess it was toxic enough to be permaed in riots eyes though.

You know how they said only .006% of players are toxic enough to be permabanned?

That's what pisses me off, because in 5 out of the 6 games I've played since returning there have been 1 or multiple people in the game being more toxic than what I got banned for.

If .006% was accurate, you'd only run into one every 1000 games or so, and that does not seem to be the case.

It's like they're lying.

this guy isnt doing that all the time like you. the system doesnt check "how bad" you are it checks "how many times are you bad". and you were bad a lot. while this guy wasnt.

last game i called on of my mates an idiot with 0 gameknowledge. was like my first insult in this whole month so yea. i think i can take it

Honestly, if people don't want to get their feelings hurt they should get the hell off the internet because all it is, is trolls and haters. And the fact that when you do solo que for games you are outnumbered by a duo or a trio que that can get away with saying whatever they want and get away with gettin anyone banned that they want. SMH at this bullshit...

It might make you feel a bit better if you just take them to court for the money you put into the game, especially if it's in the hundreds to thousand+ dollar range. That is, assuming you can document how much you spent (via emails, credit card statements, etc). You can just go file as a small claim at your local county or district court, and don't even need an attorney. Honestly, I think this is the only way to make Riot rethink their approach to account discipline: literally make them pay for attempting to defraud players of money invested.
