My computer shut downed because it was "overheated" 0% available, plugged in, charging. BUT it isn't charging. Didn't you say if you are in a game in the majority of the game and came back in just a few minutes, you are immune to punishments? Well, explain this: My computer shut downed because it overheated, I came back ASAP, and we won. Why do I deserve a blind "punishment"? This is torment.
SmokedAlmonds4 votesSomeone's computer freezing 1 time is different than a rage quit(although the effects are identical). But punishments aren't handed out for individual leaves, but rather for leaving games at an unacceptable rate. There is built in leniency for occasional problems but if you are at the point of being punished you have used that up. Think of it like negligence.
It is a common misconception that leaverbuster only exists for rage quitters, but it is also to curb people with frequent connection/computer issues.

Well whether or not 2 leaves in a month is rare depends on how many games you played. If you played 200 games in that month it would be low, if you played 20 it would be high. Leaverbuster seems to look at your entire history though.
What level of low priority queue are you at and how many total games have you left in the past?

- My game was successful, so was my KDA, so any means of trolling leaves here.
- I reconnected within 5 minutes after "leaving".
Additionally, spending 20 or 15 minutes in "lower priority" is ridiculous, 10 minutes is more appropriate.
I'm pretty sure it doesn't award 15-20 minutes lower priority queues until the 2nd or 3rd time you've received low priority queues.

DrCyanide1 votesYou only get punished for AFKing if it happens repeatedly. If your computer frequently overheats while playing League, then it's a sign you should fix your computer's overheating issue before playing.
On the technical side, there's no way to tell the difference between an AFK due to hardware failure or an AFK due to human desire. You just know that your program stopped working the way you intended.
