Spamming surrender votes when no one is actively trolling makes no sense
I get it if you want out of a game because someone is trolling (admitting it) and it's psychologically messing up your day. But lately as soon as 15 minutes hits I get to see the surrender vote pop up every 3 minutes for the rest of the game.
What's sad is after I stopped voting yes and just kept playing, I come back from a good 45-50% of those surrender vote spam games. But when we win the one spamming the ff isn't even happy! He's so stuck on showing us "trolls" what's up that the harder we try to win and the better things get the more the guy tries to throw the game to prove some nonexistent point.
Not only does it hurt our morale, it's quite distracting to see the surrender vote pop up in an important teamfight. It's also detrimental because in order to cast the surrender vote, our whiny teammate momentarily afks.
The surrender vote is good for instances where maybe you're being held hostage or whatever, but seriously it's overrated. Every game I get into that we don't stomp in it's on my screen 24/7. And yet it hardly ever passes. When it doesn't pass the first 4 times, you're frankly doing it for attention at this point.
Please consider that while a comeback isn't 100% certain, it happens A LOT more than I ever thought it would. A simple misplay from the fed enemy team resulting in an ace can tilt them. Riot may lack in certain champion balance areas, but they do make it pretty easy to capitalize on enemy mistakes even when behind. Otherwise first blood would literally end the game.
