Does this really deserve a suspension? I had someone on my team consistantly being toxic to me.

I'd also like to point out I was suspended for this ONE game, no previous punishments. I've never seen a suspension over one game before.

0 tolerance for some words using them will get you punished almost as soon as the system goes over the logs

I didn't cuss or anything, except for "laugh my ass off" and I was quoting the toxic xerath when I said "nib-b-a" which is probably what it was, but I assume he was suspended too then? I hope. Lol.

The words blocked out by '%' marks is what caused it. Doesn't matter if you were quoting it, they are zero tolerance.

There is a chance that you might be able to get it reduced by submitting a support ticket (as you weren't exactly using those words), so you can give t a shot.

Usually it takes about 2-3 games or more-over, but:

These chat logs here triggers the escalation process, meaning that you're already gaining a higher chance of being instantly banned, so good job.

The three lines Beatz pulled out above are what escalated you to the suspension. Riot has a zero tolerance policy towards hate speech of any kind, and using it even once can move an account up to an instant 14 day suspension if it is reported. As someone else commented, you can try to appeal to Support to see if they would be willing to lessen the punishment to a chat restriction, as it was a first punishment, but it's rather rare in the case of hate speech. While we can see that one of these lines is obviously a reply where you are quoting the other player, the other two don't have the quotations, so it's not so easy for us to tell. Support does have access to the full logs, and would be able to see if the other two lines were in direct response quoting Xerath, but if they were not, then I'm afraid there is practically no chance of having this punishment reduced.

Dude you honestly expect a xerath to be able to follow a kat while she roams? She will turn around and murder him.

There's nothing I hate more (obviously exaggerating) than an ignorant laner complaining about my mid laner roaming, especially when I pinged it. I play anivia ... much like xerath, I'm slow. Kat is highly mobile... she has roam advantage. So the right thing to do, is stay in lane, warn your allies when she's gone, and push/farm my lane. That way, you (should) actually get back under tower depending on the situatuon, and don't get killed, while I build a lead in lane, as she wastes time roaming the map doing nothing.

The fact that you put that much attention into arguing with this random guy, justifies a punishment. It should just be a chat restrict though. I don't think this justifies an escalation in tiers of punishment. It probably was from quoting what he said, cuz a PC world doesn't work without zero tolerance. (Which is obviously ridiculous, but welcome the the new world of sensitivity and thought shaming)

As a side note, don't ever call for reports either. It's considered harassment because you're trying to get people to gang up on the guy and it's basically like saying "I'm right and he's wrong". There's no reason to ever call for reports, as 1 report has the same effect as 9 reports.

Also, I'm pretty bad at this, so don't think I'm being elitist or ELO shaming (I'm a scrubby ass silver player), but you have to get over your Reliance on pings. Yes they help. Yes it is a nice way to help your teammates. But it shouldn't be a necessity. If you want to improve, a big part of that is map awareness. You should always have one eye on your minimap and stay aware of when enemy champions are missing in any lane. Just something to improve on. I'm bad at it. I'm not saying you're bad. I'm just saying if you wanna be a good player, that's a necessary skill.

See, i understand its hard for him to follow, but kat came bot over 9 times. Not once did i see xerath do a single thing to stop it. And he only pinged one out of 9 times. Which is why i called him out on his pings. And again, the xerath ended 1/9. Him staying in his lane amounted to nothing, it would have been more helpful to roam and help us. Thats not what this is about, though. He was extremely toxic in many ways and yet i got suspended. But it's w/e, im way too tired to say the rest of what i want to say. I appreciate your comment friend, and i hope you can see my side of things!

It really doesn't matter what the xerath said. You constantly arguing or indirectly flaming him. You created a very negative gaming experience for your other 3 teammates by constantly engaging the xerath, directly and indirectly, THE ENTIRE GAME.

Definitely deserved the punishment. As far as the actually scale of punishment depends on your toxic history...and since I saw your 6 month old thread up top.....

Game is intence, people like to speak up express themselves yes, thats right, EXPRESS THEMSELVES, why do people have to behave in a way IMPOSED by the company? if you see an asshole that argues everything on the street and critizices everyone and is pesimistic, etc you dont just throw him into jail.

This guy have this intence personality that he like to argue and point mistakes out and shit talk. Well, that is freedom of speech and expression, you have many tools to ignore the "shit talker" he is not INTING or AFKING which both should be bannable. But no. This company encourages snowflake kids to go run to report button daddy and ban someone who tried his best to win and got shit on by a trash boosted player on their team for 4 games straight. I mean, come on. This perma baning spree has gone too far regarding chatlogs.

The mute button is not there to ALLOW you to be an asshole. It is there to PROTECT people from your asshole-ness. While those 2 statements sound similar, there are not the same. Your belief is that the mute function let (allow) you be an asshole without consequences. The fact is the mute function is there to protect people from you while they wait to report you for your deserved punishment.

You can call Rito whatever names you want. So long as you are on their properties (servers), you are bound by their rules. Much like in whatever country you reside in, you are bound by the laws of that country to face the consequences. It really matter very little what you think of the laws. No one cares what you think. Play within the rules or face the consequences.

Yes mute button is to protect people from ugly words, good enough i´d say, but going for a perma ban on an account regardless of the time and money spent is just too far out. With ur argument all you are saying is that riot does not support freedom of expression, they are shaping and controling peoples behavior with non democratic standards.

Im not saying they can´t do that, because yes at the end of the day you are using their property (which you payed for, with your banned season 1 account). I just think is inmoral.

Freedom of expression or speech DOES NOT mean freedom from consequences of said expression or speech. Go back to civic classes. Even the US government doesn't support freedom from consequences for your expression or speech unless it is against government entities.

E.g. go to a public park and start shouting racial slurs nonstop. You are going to be arrested and charged for public nuisance. Come back and tell me how far your freedom of speech take you. Go to the same public park and show your freedom of expression by strip naked and walk around. You are going to be arrested and charged for public indecency. Come back and tell me how far your freedom of expression take you.

If someone is on the street and causing problems outside of a business, or refuses to leave when police give him a warning, then yes, actually he can be taken into custody. It's disturbing the peace, and is against the law. Generally speaking, a citation is issued, rather than taking the person directly to jail, much like a chat restriction. But if the person is belligerent enough, or refuses to leave, or is under the influence of any sort of intoxicant, then yes, they can be taken to jail to cool off.

Incidentally, freedom of speech, as defined in the United States Constitution does not apply to actions undertaken on a privately owned company's gaming servers. Have a quote from CNN's article The First Amendment doesn't guarantee you the rights you think it does.

...This scenario illustrates one of the biggest misconceptions people have about the First Amendment. Bottom line: It protects you from the government punishing or censoring or oppressing your speech. It doesn't apply to private organizations....

Freedom of speech simply means that the GOVERNMENT cannot impose restrictions on what can and cannot be said. Which the government is not involved here. Riot is the only one making the decisions, and as the private and sole owners of the content, it is their right to decide what is or is not allowed.

The irony here is that more often than not, it's not the "special snowflakes" coming here on the boards to whine and complain. It's the players who claim to be assholes. The players who claim that they will continue to express themselves because they want to, because no company will impose any restrictions on them. The players who constantly find themselves banned, and come to complain that it's unfair, and say it's everyone's fault but their own.

I can't hear the snowflakes whining about their feelings being hurt because all the special snowflakes whining about their rights being violated are too loud.
