Another gang report gone wrong

instant got flamed by teammate - literally chat restricted lost my honor level which was nearly 4. I'm done with your game. you can have it now, this is the third time i've been flamed by people on my team and then got chat restricted for calling them out on being toxic. I like how the chat logs don't show ANY of the intermediary things said, like how i had to mute my teammates pings cause he wouldn't stop pinging me and then telling me to do opposite things then flaming me for doing what he pinged and telling me how i have 0 map awareness and that i'm toxic, nobody wants to play a game with people like that. i had to mute him only to have my teammates gang up on me, best part is, we had no chance to win from the start due to your terrible matchmaking system. games are almost NEVER close. on top of having to play with people that are going to incessantly flame you causing you to not want to play the game anymore but it's disconcerting that no matter what you do , play the game, don't say anything, be a zombie on x it's not going to matter, you will set out to ruin the game for everyone and reward people that flame in order to get reports and ruin peoples honor levels since it's a thing they can do now. wonderful system you've built. take a page from other developers and just close up shop ya'll suck. I reported this guy for flaming me and he didn't get any chat restriction when he is the one instigating everything. it's very clear what your community is about and what you as game developers are concerned with, nothing. 4 man reports mean absolutely nothing special. 1 report has the exact same weight as four.

I suppose that would be considered "unnecessarily disruptive language or behavior that derails the match for other players." Or maybe the system saw some individual chat messages that it took as an intention to AFK/intentionally feed/otherwise grief? Though context of other messages makes it clear that was not what was intended, and supposedly the system can take that context into account (though I have doubts as to whether that's true).

I don't agree with it, though. You weren't insulting anyone on your team or anything like that and you were still trying to win.

once again, someone called me some seriously derogatory names and even threatened my life, i reported and got chat banned again for 24 games cause i told my team i was going to play back since they didn't wanna go in and fight when im' landing 5 man stuns, guess that's toxic. Cool! This game is reached the end of its rope, I honestly don't care anymore, i've clearly way outscaled this system and seeing as i've never been chat banned in any other game in my entire life, and seeing as how i play other games a billion times more than this game, it just goes to show this system is rigged and if your teammates are grouped and don't like you depsite what you're saying about 1-4 reports is wrong and it's clearly defined by riot actually in a post earlier that more reports are weightier and seeing as how the system just detects if you said 'certain word', so long as they didn't say any flagged words then they're good. I mean the names I was being called this time would no doubt be more or less considered terrorist threatening and racist etc. Clever how the system banned me for telling someone they were being an 'ass' which is, by the way, an animal/body part. I have no hope for this game this company (for profit only) and their lack of charitable contributions or love for their community. Watch their update videos on youtube, and compare to games like oh... any blizzard game (overwatch) where their developers speak directly to the players and interact on a personal level. Either this game got too big for its breeches or they're lost on how to be a good developer, which it's likely a bit of both. I have no faith in this developer at ALL. They need to make this game again from scratch, etch out a way better code because i'm almost certain their programmers are by far the bottom rung, everyone else went to activision or blizzard or other more intricate and rewarding developers that offer career goals, better pay, retirements, health benefits, etc. Just take a look at what they're paying their engineers, no wonder they can't find A list talent. This community is super toxic and their way of dealing with it is blanket bans on 'trigger words' instead of sorting out people that instigate and troll people in chat. I already have cross chat off by default, I am going to assume there's a way to turn off chat entirely, hopefully, because the only way I'll ever develop a good relationship with this community is, :O TO IGNORE IT ENTIRELY. Sad, that your entire player base must be so dejected and disconnected because of the animosity and ignorance, trolling, instigation, racism, etc. I've met more racists in this game than in real life. I give up on the community as a whole and I finally see why so many people stopped playing it. Nobody is going to agree with me at all, but I don't really care. I've made several accounts in my lifetime, and been playing for almost 10 years spent over 2000 dollars on assorted items in the game, which is likely more than a majority of the player base by far, however, not only am I NOT rewarded for being a good loyal player, but i'm completely at a loss when everything that you work for is taken away because some guy in the game decided to troll and get you chat banned. it's inherently flawed and i saw a post before about how lacking the ranking system is to make you continually have to play the game to get anywhere (win 50%+ of your games) which is nearly never happening unless you spam one champ that's ultra meta. We tried to bring this to Riot's attention before they were bought out by a foreign company, by then it was too late they wiped their hands of it and the best of the company left it to crumble to pieces. Some very specific people come to mind, greg street, Because "game balance is one of the most controversial aspects of any multiplayer game... I benefit from being able to engage the community directly." as a designer he goes above and beyond, that's what you want from your developers, people like this that engage actively with the community, riot has all but signed off, all i get are skins and random nerfs and seemingly arbitrary updates, a new champ every once in a while with some rehashed ability that negates some champ that exists already. This game is going no where, and the more I think about it, the more it makes sense, they're making their money, their community doesn't care about one another, and I've long since season 3 maybe had any real fun playing the game except for maybe a very small percentage of games where my team has both worked together, had a good game and enjoyed it. Most of the time matches are terribly outmatched/one sided, which causes ALL the people in the game to be bitter and blame one another, myself included, as I've definitely owned up to my mistakes but having someone say 'you suck, your mom is ugly' etc. whatever nonsense blurts out, by time i can even CLICK The mute button I've descended into a hellish void where I can only feel pure unadulterated violence upon the offender, which doesn't bode well for someone that can type >100 wpm. So everything in my mind is immediately dispersed into chat before I can filter it thru any sort of forethought. Game is altogether boring and dated. I try to just play one or two games a day in an attempt to have access to that one 'fun' game I might get maybe if i'm super lucky that day, but... seeing as my match history tells a tale of insanity, one game go 15-2 and lose, and then another game go 1-9 and lose, there's no reward for playing this game at all, no community to fall back on to develop a sense of care or support, the riot development team is absent entirely, it's basically, you're pro or you're nobody. I've spent at least as many hours watching bjergsen and others playing as i have playing the game. Back in the day when Nightblue actually taught the game I learned so much about the intricacies of the game that just aren't obvious, (where to ward, what to look for, when to engage, when to run, where to fight, decision making, what to focus on, taking responsibility, learning from mistakes, etc), nowadays the game is so disjointed and erratic you could literally destroy your lane, win every team fight but one mistake by one person late game and you lose. This all comes back to the original problem, there's 0 communication with the community, and when you hear about how they 'detect' toxic players or whatever, they're deliberately vague, don't even disclose how they catch cheaters of which there are potentially millions, I took a break the other day to play Heroes of the storm and had an entirely different experience, game felt balanced, felt engaging with my teammates and EVERYONE complimented each other and worked together at all times to achieve victory with minimal communication. All this and blizzard is notorious for being super strict with their community behavior, and it shows, cause a lot of their community is really communicative and supportive. I've met some toxic players in Starcraft, but nothign to the level of those in league, the most I get is people just quitting. Don't really know. But being berated almost every game has worn me down and I no longer have the sense of 'let's get a win!' when I enter a game. I merely just want the game to be balanced and tolerable. In any case, I just remembered there is /muteall If only this could be integrated into the preferences. This community sucks so bad.
