I'd rather have 1 Inter banned than 100 toxic chatters

Who cares if there's a guy talking shit in chat, mute buttons exist for a reason. Riot spends most of their time when it comes to punishing people looking at chat logs instead of paying attention to the inters in game. Some dude saying mean words in chat won't affect anything unless you let it get to you, just grow thicker skin. However whenever someone ints/afks there's absolutely nothing you can do. You know what? At least the person who's constantly throwing insults and spam pinging is actually playing the game.

Luckily it's not an either/or situation! We can have both.

Right? It so useful to have third arm, so you can play and talk shit in the same moment.

No the don't, they are focusing on typing rather than playing.

False dichotomy.

Both can be handled at the same time, especially since toxicity is handled by an automated system in basically all cases.

Id rather have the in game assholes banned. I rarely, if ever, get someone that is actually inting while also not being an asshole in chat.

This is because of the automated system. It is easier for it to see toxicity then it is Inting or afk troling. Some people do have bad game but do you care? N o ban them for inting. Some people have a bad internet connection for a game or the client does not work properly. Do you care? No ban them for afk. If you feel that strongly someone was trying to troll your game send a support ticket. As for the mute function that is not a pass for people to be jerks to other people. Ans also some of the people who do start throwing insults do so while just sitting in fountain so no not all toxic people are playing the match

Funny guy. Riot doesn't look at chat logs. Those are handled by an automatic system. Riot may look at permanent suspension though.

While making it hell for everyone else.

If you made me chose between 1 inter and 1 verbally toxic player, I would go with the second option. But here you're making me chose between 1 inter and 100 verbally toxic players. I'd rather waste time in 1 game than waste time in 100. Thank you very much.

If Riot bans 100 less people for toxic chat, that one intentional feeder will still remain undetected if they were undetected before.

I agree soo much with you, thank you for posting this. I dont care if someone is flaming i just want them to play at their best and not troll or troll pick or try "new strategies" in a diamond+ ranked game. THOSE PEOPLE SHOULD BE FLAMED. If you dont care about doing your best in a ranked game then just play freaking ARAMS like all the other casual players. Dont bring your half-assing casual mentality in my games and feeding every game.

If we had to choose I would definitely choose banning inters. Riot tries to get both though.
