if you are gone for like 5 min to take a pee or poo or really anything you get leave bustered like my game crashed because of a bug splat and i was gone for 5 min to reconnect and it marked me for leave buster i was there for like 40 of the 45 min WTF
same problem....dc'd with net issues, comcast upgrading nodes in area, now I got 10min wait que...Im done, taking my money elsewhere
Jumping into queue is a commitment. You promise your teammates that you will set aside 30-45 minutes of your life to play a game with them from beginning to end. If you break that commitment for any reason there are consequences. It's your responsibility to ensure that you have all of your affairs in order when you start a game. That is not limited to just personal affairs, but also ensuring that your equipment is not faulty.
You won't be punished for just one leave, things happen sometimes and there's nothing you can do to prevent it. But if it's happening regularly, you should work on getting your affairs in order first before starting a game.
And there's some leniency to account for occassional leaves such as a bugsplash or an RL emergency. If you use up the leniency through poor planning, then yes, it is fair.
