You do realise I'm not just YOUR support but the entire team's support right? I can just as easily leave you to fight 2v1s while helping the jungler gank mid, at least they'd be more grateful even if I did get the kill.
In the end, it's about winning. Don't do petty shit just cuz some immature baby got mad that you got the last hit. Do whatever you feel will help your team win and ignore the childish people who flame you for video game mistakes (and sometimes not even mistakes).
Some games you'll have those types. Just remember you'll also have the ones just grateful to have a peaceful lane to farm in.
I always just respond with you can think of me as the Draven of supports. And as we all know when Draven does it, it's not kill stealing. or Think of it as me giving you the glory of an assist.
I play a lot of Brand support and I've had ADC's complain about KSing a target they didn't even hit/nor get an assist on. Like I'm magically going to take control of their character and hit the stunned target before I nuke them. Late game; I did bad because Brand did too much damage -_-
When you get that type; just ignore them.

is what we are told. we ask you to goto your duo top or mid because its not helping us to have you pushing the waves and blocking cs and you stay until its impossible to recover.
the way people refuse to actively play the game is a huge player behavior issue and the biggest reason I don't play anymore. its tempting with the free runes but it still makes me insanely uncomfortable due to knowing full well this shit is gonna still happen
It's better than having your adc die, with your side having a massive wave, while you got filled support, playing 
, CSing 6 minions to try to reset the wave, then the ADC claims you are a troll for CSing and pushing the wave without their consent
Just remember to tell them that ks=kill secure. It doesn't matter who gets the kill in bottom lane. You both get gold and deny the enemy gold and exp while they are dead. Even if the middle laner comes and gets a double kill without the ADC or support getting any assists, bottom lane is still ahead because the enemy bottom is behind.

If you don't want to be in a lane with an AD and they don't want you... Then go roam with the jungler.... It's better than making a whole chat fight out of it.
But isn't roaming as a support helping win the game?
Depends on timing, who your adc is, location of all enemies on the map, etc. If your adc is safe in lane or backing, with clear vision, it's safe. Certain adcs turtle very well, others are very dependent of you during laning phase.

In all honesty, except in high elo, any position has the ability to carry, so gold distribution is not so black and white. I've carried as an agressive damage support more times than I can remember. Kills are negotiable. Big thing is giving your adc breathing space to cs. You get far more gold overall out of csing and objectives than kills.
