"unfair" ban!? banned for claiming that lux is op?

hi, i had a bad game where i got taunted by the enemy lux which used homophobic slurs and yeah. i just cant belive that i've got a 14 day suspension for that. screen 1 http://imgur.com/a/Fku9T
screen 2 http://imgur.com/a/BIEtP

yeah that "%%%" was not really mature, but i just got tilted really hard i tried really hard to hold myself back. i found it justified at that moment to "copy" his last word. yeah im a more "aggressive" dude ingame but if someone shittalks me and ruins my fun, i shittalk him back (i didnt even insult that hard to be honest.) Stirb du schmutz is german for "die, you filth" i typed that after she got killed by a malphite ult.

how is that ban justified? I got a chat restriction twice (on this account), i switched on my main account again, got permabanned and never flamed again. (6months? even longer maybe) and now i got a suspension for this? come on man, i love that game and i really tried my best to reform, but stuff like this wants me to dont care about being positive at all. she typed something annoying/tilting everytime i died. before i was about to type something that is bannable/obnoxious i just muted her and move on I NEVER KNEW THAT I COULD GET BANNED FOR THIS!

im so mad right now. first i get shittalked and taunted by the enemy lux and then i get a ban for that aswell. just wow -.- and that reformcard makes no sense when you cant see what the other player types. can i get my account back pls?

Don't talk back, and just mute & report.

Don't use "%%%" and then complain about getting banned. No matter who taunted you or egged you on, if you respond, then you're accountable.

You were being toxic. Getting very tilted and being negative in all chat. All that time spent typing is time spent not playing.

Fact of the matter is, there is honestly no legitimate reason to ever use all chat. There is nothing that you need to communicate to your opponent.

by that -2 votes i can see where this is going to end. people are so selfish nowadays. i just want to play league man. i play since season 1 and all this nonsense started in season 6 where this banhammer-swinging-robot started to go insane. just think outside the box. i dont int feed. i dont harass/insult MY teammates (because i dont want a 1v9 or lower the chances of winning because of that). but according to that system im so toxic that i dont deserve to play anymore. wth? thats bs. i just got banned FOR !!!!ONE!!!! game where i was "toxic" i have a strange feeling that this is a marketing strategy by riot thats why the runepage/champion prices are the same. It certainly can seem really unfair when an enemy player can talk crap after every play they make, and we rarely see the results of reporting them. You might see the pop-up for the instant feedback if you're lucky, or you might not. I've never seen it personally. So to me, it often looks like Riot's never enforced the ToS on anyone that's broken the rules against me or my friends. And I would have to agree with you, that what you said really wasn't bad.... except for that one word. Without %%%, I honestly wouldn't have even thought twice about it had you said that to me in game. It's just normal competitive trashtalking. Might not be the most polite, and I'm sure it would bother some people with thinner skin, but it's still pretty darn mild.

The only issue is the %%%. Being only one word, and only used once, is probably why it was left as just a 14 day suspension. I see where you mentioned having the two chat restrictions on this account, so the next punishment level is the 14 day suspension, even if the offense is something that by itself wouldn't normally warrant a suspension. By now, I'm sure you know about the punishment tiers, and how they go up in severity. From this temp ban/suspension, the next level is a permban. What you might not know, is that any subsequent, legitimate offense that is reported can trigger a permaban on this account until you have dropped back down to a lower tier. Even if it is something extremely minor. Harassment, calling for reports in /all chat, using %%%, etc. It takes longer than you might think for your punishment level to drop back down to where you would just get another 14 day suspension or a chat restriction. (Think months, not weeks.)

Using homophobic slurs, even in retaliation to an enemy/teammate using them first, can actually result in an immediate permaban. Riot is pretty pro-active about that. And while a lot of people may come to the forums and complain about Riot being too harsh with the punishments over it, the fact that they go out of their way to make the game communications free from that discrimination is commendable. Many League players are too young to remember a time when racism and homopbobia was an accepted part of daily life, but I'm not, and I have a lot of respect for Riot for taking a stance on equality.
